Hello SC, How many Symbols are clients allowed to have open at any one time when using SC Real-Time Services..? Is there a daily download limit..? (Can't seem to find any detail in documentation about it or any previous forum post about limits). I'd like to keep well within the acceptable limits and only have a select number of currency crosses open at a time. It's just that I've noticed currency cross 'unavailable' messages this morning after adding Currency Indices (USD-X etc...) to my Quoteboard. I also have a seperate Historical Sierra Chart copy open and unexpectedly notice realtime updates with the currency indices in that copy so I'm not sure if you're currently experiencing server issues OR it's my new setup OR if I have gone over my limit (relativley small number of crosses listed really). We see no problem with the data feed for the Currency indices. Are you getting data now for USD-X? There are no limits that we set for the Forex real-time data service. For historical data queries when using the Sierra Chart Historical Data Service there is a limit of 700 queries a day for package 3. The Currency crosses (AUDUSD, EURJPY etc..) were the only Symbols affected and their Daily High, Lows and Open fields were reset in the Quoteboard. The Currency Indices remained unaffected throughout and continue to update. All seems fine now. Don't think it helped having two different versions of the SC software so I have updated both to the latest. I perhaps (stupidly) thought the log messages of closing of sockets for historical updates may have made real-time updates unavailable for some reason. Thanks for getting back so quick and mentioning the limits. Cheers. |

...Ahh just happened again and the High and Low Fields for the crosses all reset and flashed up with Yellow background. I'm sure it's something I've got setup incorrectly but I do get unavailable messgages listed in the log without any warning. Real-time data for symbol AUDCAD is currently unavailable. | 2014-07-08 10:49:55 Real-time data for symbol AUDJPY is currently unavailable. | 2014-07-08 10:49:55 Real-time data for symbol AUDNZD is currently unavailable. | 2014-07-08 10:49:55 Real-time data for symbol AUDUSD is currently unavailable. | 2014-07-08 10:49:55 Real-time data for symbol CADJPY is currently unavailable. | 2014-07-08 10:49:55 Real-time data for symbol CHFJPY is currently unavailable. | 2014-07-08 10:49:55 It could be a chartbook setup I'm using so I'll remove some of the charts in the SC Real-Time copy that rely on the SC Historical Copy. It seems to have started after I added the Currency Indices in the Quoteboard - again they seem unaffected. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2014-07-08 09:58:48

This indicates a problem with our connections to FXCM. We will work on it, but not until the end of the day.

We can see that this is a significant problem. FXCM servers are having trouble. We have reported the issue to them but we have changed to a different FXCM server. We can see that some of the issues appear to be resolved.

Fair enough SC, data updates still get through most of the time. Just glad I can rule out my setup as it was happening on a clean, basic Quoteboard with just the currency crosses.
