Every time I close and open Sierra Charts the "Enable Order Allocation to Trading Accounts" which I had set to "YES" is then toggled to "NO". Is there anyway to have this remain enabled (through Sierra restarts), I often forget to reenable it until I realize the P&L is not changing on all accounts. I couldn't find any settings regarding this. |

I am making another impassioned plea (I responded to a previous post also) to restore the ability to leave order allocation on once it has been set. Changing a previously default behavior is IMO contentious for users. I have a note on my desk in front of me and in a perfect world I would remember to do it every time but the world isn't perfect. This most recent event cost me around $2400 opportunity when the trade fired on one account instead of three. Proof of trade attached. There is the option to turn off "Disable Auto Trading on Startup". Could this not be treated likewise? Thanks for your consideration, Mike

Ok, we will review this and determine the best way to manage this. There may need to be setting to control this behavior.

Until this is implemented or changed, one option to simplify is to set up the order allocation as a button on the control bar. When the button is selected, it is a lighter color, when un-selected it is a darker color and you can choose the color. This way, it is visual and easy to enable or disable and see the status rather than thru menus. When customizing the CONTROL BAR to add a button, the option to enable or disable order allocation is in the "Trade Window Menu" under "Available control bar commands" Also, the order allocation status is per chart so this helps very quickly to see if you are enabled or disabled each time you change to another chart. Here is a screenshot of a portion of my control bar setup: autotrade chart, global autotrade, enable/disable my study trading (MND), study based send orders to service (MND Send) and at the right order allocation...each as a button. MND is just my own naming convention for Micro NQ Delta trading bot. You can change the names to be whatever you want.

Update Sierra Chart to the latest version: Software Download: Fast Update And refer to the setting Global Settings >> General Trade Settings >> Disable Order Allocation to Trade Accounts on Chartbook Opening. Also, the order allocation status is per chart so this helps very quickly to see if you are enabled or disabled each time you change to another chart. And refer to the setting Global Settings >> General Trade Settings >> Disable Order Allocation to Trade Accounts on Chartbook Opening.
Hello, I have set this to `No` and when opening chartbook, it still not automatically enable the Order Allocation. |

If the Order Allocation was not enabled when you save the chartbook, then when you open it again the option will not be enabled regardless of the setting you had for "Disable Order Allocation to Trade Accounts on Chartbook Opening". Another possibility is if you are using linking for the Trade Window with other charts and you also have the Order Allocation included in the linking, then another chart could be driving the state of the order allocation. This could also be the case if you include the Order Allocation with the Trade Configurations. Refer to the following and the setting below it: Order Allocation to Trade Accounts: Order Allocation to Trade Accounts Include in Linking For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
