Hello all is there any way to see chat chartbook (or other tool) uses the most ram/cpu? Since last week, SC started to use more than 6GB ram and about 10% CPU (until last week it used max 1% CPU and 2~3 GB ram) Maybe I changed any option that I'm not aware of. Many thanks! PS: win11 here with 16gb ram and i9 cpu Date Time Of Last Edit: 2023-07-05 17:46:09

There is not a way to do this. You would have to open each chartbook individually and determine if one of them is a specific culprit.
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Found it but how do I know what's the issue? I am running 8 chartbooks in the same time, all the same (should be), only one rises the cpu/ram |

You would then need to load each chart to determine which one is the culprit. And from there look at the studies on that chart to dig down further.

Are you using Study Price/Overlay? That can really pin cpu if you are using too many, overlays from many different bar types (Renko seem to cause the most problems), long look back times and overlaying from slower charts to longer ones (ie: 200 tick to a 3 minute). Sometimes I get processor ramps on the weekends that go away if I disconnect data. |

Does it occur on clean charts, no studies? If so, did you change your update interval? Date Time Of Last Edit: 2023-07-05 21:31:04

No, the chart has about 8 studies, all chartbooks are the same (the symbol is different) The update interval is 0 (global) I also put 10 or 100 ms (instead of zero which is global), the same. When I load NSQ, the laptop starts make huge noise , all fans are UP, cpu jumps to 10% or more atc. When I close NSQ, the CPU drops to 1 or less :) (with 7 remaining chartbooks) |

Create a new chart book and add those 8 symbols/charts without any studies. See if your cpu and fans wind up. If they do (not likely), the issue may be with the data feed. If you don't get resource increases., open your chart book with all 8 including studies. Create a new chart book and duplicate one of those charts to it. Then close the one with all 8. See if your cpu/fans ramp up. If they do, it's a study. Start deleting them one at a time until your resources return to normal levels to find out which one. *Another important thing to check is any antivirus software you may have running. If you have one, you're going to need to exclude the folder where your sierra install lives. I actually had this issue recently from upgrading to a latest release. Excluding the folder fixed the issue. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2023-07-05 23:49:19
