Create a new chart book and add those 8 symbols/charts without any studies. See if your cpu and fans wind up. If they do (not likely), the issue may be with the data feed. If you don't get resource increases., open your chart book with all 8 including studies. Create a new chart book and duplicate one of those charts to it. Then close the one with all 8. See if your cpu/fans ramp up. If they do, it's a study. Start deleting them one at a time until your resources return to normal levels to find out which one. *Another important thing to check is any antivirus software you may have running. If you have one, you're going to need to exclude the folder where your sierra install lives. I actually had this issue recently from upgrading to a latest release.
