3rd Install not streaming data

Over the weekend I installed a 3rd install of SC.

It seems I can open the first two and get data streaming as expected, but when I open the 3rd one I'm not getting any data.
This install I'm having trouble with is actually my first, original install. It has always worked, that is until I installed and started running the 3rd install. I have not changed any of the account settings.

I did find these error messages in the Message Log:

If these installations are all on the same computer then the issue is that you can only have 2 installations connected to the data feed at the same time. Refer to the information here:

If you are trying to connect to the data feed from multiple computers, then you can only have 2 computers connected to the data feed at the same time.

Although Sierra Chart does allow you to run the software simultaneously from up to 3 computers (which can be increased by paying a small amount for each additional computer up to 5 in total), the exchanges work differently. In particular, you can only have up to 2 computers connected simultaneously, and to do so, you need to pay for an additional set of exchange fees. Refer to the information here:

Right now, you are only setup for 1 computer to get the real-time data. Whichever computer was the first one to connect is the one that will get the data. You would have to logoff/disconnect that computer in order to get the data to any other computer.

I'm sorry, I'm confused. The documentation indicates you can have 3 connections on one computer.

Up to 3 connections for the Denali Exchange Data Feed can be used on the same computer/device at the same time. This only applies to the same computer/device.

This connection limit applies per exchange and the number of devices are counted separately for each exchange. For example, you can have a connection for CME Group on one computer, a connection on another computer to EUREX, and a connection to CFE or NASDAQ on another computer. This is allowed.


I'm only connecting to the CME.

Sorry - you are correct, it is 3 connections from a single system. This changed awhile back, but apparently my brain doesn't keep all the information updated in it.

Please get us the Message Log from the installation that is not giving you the real-time data by following these instructions:

Follow the instructions here to clear the Message Log:
Message Log: Clearing the Message Log

Close all of the Chartbooks with "File >> Close All Chartbooks".

Open a single chart for the symbol you have an issue with through "File >> Find Symbol". Tell us that symbol of the chart. Tell us about *one* symbol only.

Disconnect from the data feed with "File >> Disconnect".

Connect to the data feed with "File >> Connect to Data Feed".

After the connection and after about 10 seconds, provide a copy of the Message Log following these instructions:

We will then determine what the problem is.
