Good afternoon, TLDR: decided to create composite TPOs but found several missing letters for several sessions in my GC COMEX chart which is a continuous volume-based rollover back-adjusted, tried attaching a screenshot/image of my chart window but the link after selecting "click yes to copy this link to the system clipboard" would not paste so apologies for lack of image. Thank you for your help.

Since you used the "Upload" image option, we are able to view the images since they are uploaded to our server.

But, the data is all compacted together, so we can not really tell any of what is going on.

One of the things to consider is that if the particular period is overnight, then it is possible that there was no trading during that 30 minute interval.

Also, make sure the order of the lettering in the Inputs for the TPO are not missing those particular letters.

And finally, it is easiest to see the letters by displaying each period in its own column. Do this and see if you find what is missing or if there are still questions.

Good afternoon, I have done the steps discussed as best I can to no avail. I have attached my image again like before with the period as their own columns, thank you kindly for the help. https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1685032295178.png

Please attach a chartbook that has that chart in it for us to take a look. Follow these instructions to do this:

Here is what we see when we open your chartbook and change the symbol (we need to change the symbol for the service we are using):

Everything looks good in this case. The coloring of the TPOs with the darker areas is due to setting the Input for "Shade TPO Letters/Blocks Based on Time". Refer to the following:
Time Price Opportunity (TPO) Profile Charts: Shade TPO Letters/Blocks Based on Time

So we do not know why you are seeing what you are on your chart. Did you remove all the other studies from that chart before you sent it? Have you looked at the chart without any other studies on it to see how it looks.

I myself thought it may have been the shaded areas in my TPO before I reached out to support but then decided to switch to blocks instead of letters to verify and it was the same issue; I attached an image to show this (apologies as the link isn't visible for me like before, perhaps it is again on your end). So I removed all studies as mentioned in a support page prior to sending- apologies for the bother with the issue I am having, nonetheless an amazing platform.

Perhaps this is related: I noticed this issue happens at or close to contract rollover dates

We can see the images, and what you are seeing is perfectly normal around the rollover dates. The old contract is going to lose volume as people move to trading the new contract.

Apologies, so just to be clear to close this out: even with continuous volume-based rollover back-adjusted GC is still common for those gaps as I've yet to have this same issue with my other markets. It seems in a case like this it would be best to use XAUUSD from FXCM rather than the COMEX for consistency issues? Thank you for the help

That is not something we can answer- that is a personal choice on how to watch the market.
