Dear Support Board Has anyone managed to achieve horizontal grid "bands" as opposed to simply lines when using the Horizontal Grid and Scale settings. I was hoping to achieve something like excel alternate grid bands or fills i.e. colout ban on/off alternating. Any help appreciated. Many thanks. |

This is not available by default. You could create this, but it will take a bit of work and a lot of studies. If you just want a few "grids" then it's not too bad. The general idea would be to start with the "Horizontal Lines Study" and put the lines at the levels/spacing you want. Then you would use the "Study Subgraphs Reference" to reference two of the subgraphs from the "Horizontal Lines Study" for which you want to create the "fill" between. By default, the Study Subgraphs Reference is setup to create a fill color between the two subgraphs. You may need to set the scale to "Automatic" for this study, however. Repeat the process of adding the "Study Subgraphs Reference" for each pair of subgraphs for which you want the fill. Refer to the following for the Horizonal Lines study: Horizontal Lines Refer to the following for the Study Subgraphs Reference: Study Subgraphs Reference -- Another option would be to add "Extending Rectangles" for each filled area you want. Hi John Thank you that was very helpful. I think I'll try and create a rolling mid-line that's locked through the visible chart and hard code 20 lines above/below that value. My coding is not overly advanced so that solution with fill above/below seems achievable. Many thanks to SC for great support. Thank you. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2023-05-15 13:15:29
