when I take a position on sierra chart on the dax index, I have well the lines of my entry TP and SL which are posted, but I see neither my gains nor my losses. When I try to put the position at BreakEven it doesn't do it, what's wrong ? Attached are the log files of sierra and IB gateway. |

I have just recorded a gif of an attempt to take a position on the euro-dollar index, there I do not even have the positions that are displayed on the graph. I need help please, I've been trying to configure sierra for over a month and I can't get it to work. |

The main thing we see in the gif you provided is that you are trying to enter a Limit order (as the primary), but you are not entering the Limit price (it is 0.0000). You need to enter the Limit price on the Trade Window before you can select the "Buy" or "Sell" buttons. Otherwise, you will get the error you are. The other thing that we believe is an issue, but you would have to check with IB, is that you are specifying a quantity of 1, but this is Currency Pair. You should have to enter an amount greater than 1, as you are entering the value of the currency you are wanting to purchase ($100, $1000, etc.), not a lot quantity that is done for Futures or Stocks. We need to see your Trade Service Log when you place the order and it is staying in a Pending state. The Trade Service Log you sent makes sense, given that you did not have an open order, therefore selecting Flatten does not apply - but your child orders were then cancelled. But this does not give us the information on why the orders are staying in a "Pending" state. Also, check with Interactive Brokers after you place an order and it is Pending, as it is possible that the order went through, but then we are not getting any updates from IB on the status. You cannot trade an -IND- symbol through Interactive Brokers. Those are nontradable. Also one thing we noticed in your video, is when you select a Trade Window configuration, any changes you have made to the to Trade Window like in this case having previously set the tick offset for Attached Orders, will be lost. We really do not recommend trading your Interactive Brokers account through Sierra Chart. We do not want to support that and you will have problems. Just use Sierra Chart for charting and only enter orders through TWS. And rely upon Interactive Brokers for trade support. We do not want to provide any further support to you in this regard. If you are wanting to trade Index Futures, then you need to have the correct symbol. For example, for Interactive Brokers for the DAX Index Futures, the symbol for the March contract is the following: DAX-202303-EUREX-EUR-25 You will find the appropriate symbols in the File >> Find Symbol window.
