John, I have a HUGE favour, and hope you can help. I am wanting an algo made of an idea I have. I hand-draw these now and want to try and automate them. Basically, I find the VPOC and extend it out. When the price comes to retest it there can be a trade. There is one big criterion. 1-the value area of the TPO that is associated with that vpoc cannot be overlapped by the next session's TPO value area. So the white parts can overlap not the blue parts. As you are one of the geniuses behind all the code can you tell me if this is possible? You know I am stupid, so I haven't a clue, but I know you will be able to answer if a smart coder could. I would so appreciate knowing what one of the guys who created SC thinks is possible. Also, just as a starting point could you add TPO to this drop-down? thank you thank you so much. I am stupid re coding etc but I am good at spotting patterns and I'd love to know if I could realistically automate this(well not me obviously haha). Karen |

First - Thank you for your kind words, but I am anything but one of the coding geniuses. There are other people that do that - I spend most of my time answering the support questions. The answer to your question is absolutely this is possible to code, as the TPO VPOC and Value Area information are available in specific studies. That is to say that you do not even need the TPO study to get this, which can simplify the process. It also means that you could probably create this using the Spreadsheet System for Trading or the Trading System Based on Alert Condition studies. But you would have to figure out how to put those together as well. John, Do you know anyone who could do this for me? I haven't a clue what it would cost, do you? I supposed you have to get that programmed, then add on the stops/take profits. But wait wouldn't those just be bracket orders? Anyway, do any of the guys at SC who know the code inside and out ever do 'outside' work for people? thanks for your time, Karen |

Unfortunately, we simply do not have the time to do work for others. If we did, we would then be too busy doing work for others to be able to do work for anyone else. You know how it goes.
