Is this possible to do? Currently I'm using the study Volume At Price Threshold but it doesn't work consistently and I'm not sure why. I have it set to alert at above 1000 and 1500 volume and also to mark the chart but looking at recent bid and ask volumes I see 1700 volume and it's not marked on the chart and I don't think it alerted either. Is it possible to just alert when recent ask or bid volume goes above a certain threshold? |

The Large Volume Trade Indicator filters on each trade. So only those trades that above the threshold are counted. It does not work by looking at the sum of the trades at a particular level and then checking that against the threshold. This is why you are not seeing a marker for a volume of 1700, even with a threshold of 1000 - it means that of the individual trades that make up the 1700, none of them were 1000 or larger. In order to get an alert when the Bid or Ask (or Total Volume) at a price is above a certain level, you would need to use the Alerts and specifically the functions listed at the following link: Study/Chart Alerts And Scanning: Special Functions For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

In “Replaying Charts”, display the “Trade DOM” and place the “Recent Bid/Ask Volume” there. When the Recent Bid or Ask (or Total Volume) of a price exceeds a certain level, we would like to have a bird's eye view of the absorption that occurred during the entire trading session and its date/time in the Alerts Log. If possible, we would also like to export the data in spread sheet format. I would like to get your advice on which section of “Study/Chart Alerts And Scanning:” I need to read carefully to fulfill this purpose. Thank you in advance for your time. |

There is no support for setting alerts on the "Recent Bid/Ask" data. To do this would require a custom study.
