Hoping this is something super obvious that I'm short circuiting on.. :)

I have an attached order configuration;

Quantity: 5
Target 1: Quantity 4, 60 ticks from entry
Target 2: Quantity 1, 120 ticks from entry

Generally this has been working well.. but every so often this gets updated as follows;
Quantity: 5
Target 1: Quantity 2, 60 ticks from entry
Target 2: Quantity 3, 120 ticks from entry

And the only way to get it back to my configuration is by selecting the config again (even though it shows it is selected on my trade window). And there is nothing that I have caught, that one of my actions of trading is causing this. I should note that I have scale out enabled (not scale in)

So questions;

1) Why is getting updated?
2) Is there a way to prevent this?

Are you changing the order quantity on the Trade Window or through the top left of the chart?

That would cause the problem. You could also be using Trade Window linking and these Attached Order quantities could be changed from another trade window.

Think I finally recreated the sequence on replay to get to this outcome;

Setup;
Scale In: OFF
Scale Out: ON

Attached order configuration;
Quantity: 5
Target 1: Quantity 4, 60 ticks from entry
Target 2: Quantity 1, 120 ticks from entry

Steps to recreate:

1. Enter a position with attached orders
2. Enter a second position with attached orders (I have scale in as OFF, so this will create a second set of OCOs)
3. Flatten entire position before any target gets hot, from first order or second order

That sequence 100% recreates the outcome of quantities being updated (or it could even be that it unselects the config in the backend, as I mentioned above as soon as I select the same config for the next trade it resets it back to config quantities).
What I haven't had the patience to do yet is the various flavors of.. what if order 1 T1 is met but T2 is not, and no Target is met on sencond order.. etc etc to see if the outcome manifests in these variations.. but the sequence above 100% recreates my issue.. 100% of the time.

It does not make sense as to why this would reproduce the problem.

We could not reproduce it with that configuration and these steps:

1. Enter a position with attached orders
2. Enter a second position with attached orders (I have scale in as OFF, so this will create a second set of OCOs)
3. Flatten entire position before any target gets hot, from first order or second order

This is not going to matter:
What I haven't had the patience to do yet is the various flavors of.. what if order 1 T1 is met but T2 is not, and no Target is met on sencond order.. etc etc to see if the outcome manifests in these variations..

The Order Quantity on the Trade Window must be changing. From 5 to some other quantity and back again.

Our recommendation is to close all of your Chartbooks and open a new chart and attach a trade window, and try this configuration. You should not be able to reproduce it.

Tried closing and opening a new trade window, still seeing the same.

I've attached a video in case it helps in describe what I am seeing. (Note: this was on SIM account, so my targets are slightly different then described above)

It does not look like you did what we said. Close all of your Chartbooks and open a new chart and attach a Trade Window window and configure it as you specified. We see multiple charts open and studies on the chart. This looks far more complex than what you would have quickly set up.

You simply could not have a problem like this with a basic configuration. And at this point we do not know why the order quantity is changing in the background.

Follow up to acknowledge that yes when I close my existing chartbook, create a new one with a chartbook/chart with no studies, I am not able to reproduce the issue.

I'll try rebuilding my chartbook when a get a free day, I can't not have the studies that I have on my chartbook, so thats the rub.

thx for the help.

So I tried duplicating the same chart to my existing chartbook, as a last resort to avoid rebuilding everything, and tada I cannot reproduce the issue on the new duplicate!! Thx for pointing me in the right direction. posting updates here, incase anyone runs into this issue in the future.. try duplicating the chart and using a trade window with the new chart.
