Hi, I stupidly deleted some studies on one of my charts, is there a way of getting these back? unfortunately I can't remember what ones I deleted but now my chart is not the same and my work has gone? thanks

If you have not saved the Chartbook since you made that change, then close the chartbook (File >> Close Chartbook) and do not save when it prompts you to do so. Then reopen the chartbook and you should have everything back to the last time you saved. If you have already saved, then the only option is to go to the saved Backups and find one that is from before you made the change. Refer to the following: Chartbooks (Workspaces): Accessing a Backup Chartbook File For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Is this on a Volume by Price profile, a Drawn Volume by Price profile, or a TPO?

Hi John it's the volume profile tool or as you call it in studies a VbP

On the Volume by Price study set the Input for Extend Value Area to None. Refer to the information for this Input here: Volume By Price Study: Draw Profile Outline Enclosing Bars And in terms of the outline, set the Input for Draw Profile Outline Enclosing Bars to No. We think this is the option you are looking for here, but there are a few other possibilities, if this is not it, then we need to see an image of what you are referencing. Great thanks John, that's what I needed, I don't suppose there is a way of just removing one of those lines if you needed to is there? is the only option to remove both? it's just that the training I am doing sometimes we need to remove the line that's been traded through, not to worry if not I'll just have to remove them both and draw the one in manually

For the Value Area Lines, you would turn them both on using that setting, but there are separate subgraphs that control the coloring options for the High and Low Value Area Lines. Therefore, you could set the one you do not want to be the same color as the background to hide it. Refer to the following: Chart Studies: Subgraphs Tab >> Color For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hi John, sorry to come back on this, I tried to change the Value area low line colour as mentioned previously but it seems to just change both lines and won't allow me to change the one that's been traded through, not sure if under my subgraphs tab I am missing something as the link you referred me to I don't seem to have SG1 ? are you able to help? many thanks

Hi John, do you know if it's possible to add Naked POC's to my charts? I tried to find an answer in support board but couldn't find anything, thanks

There is not a function to specifically do this, but there is a workaround. We have put together a Study Collection (attached to this thread) that gives you extension lines at each bar's POC, where the extension lines are extended until future intersection. This way you can see those lines that go to the end of the chart indicating a Naked POC. Refer to the instructions at the following link for how to use a Study Collection provided by Sierra Chart: Study Collections: Using a Study Collection Provided by Sierra Chart Support I also have to give a big thanks to TomGilb who is a user that came up with this way of adding extension lines to studies that do not have them built in. Hi John, I followed the above instructions but when I get to the part of saving it under Global settings / General Settings, Data Files Folder mine looks different to the screen shot and doesn't give me that option, are you able to advise? many thanks

Sorry, there are still a few images that we have not updated to the new Settings window. This is one of them. We will take care of this shortly. In the meantime, the option for where the Data File folder is located is at Global Settings >> General Settings >> Paths >> Data Files Folder.

We are not understanding your last post. The point of the Data Folder is just to know where it is set to so you can save the Study Collection to the proper folder. You need to use the operating system file program (File Explorer) to put the file in the correct location.

Search for "Windows Explorer" through your operating system taskbar.

ah ok yes I saved it under Sierra charts / Data folder but when I follow next steps and go into Sierra chart and then try to find it under Analysis menu it's not there, or do I need to close down Sierra and re-open it first? thanks

You can try exiting from Sierra Chart and opening again to ensure that it is not there, but in general you do not need to do this. If you have it in the proper folder, then the Study Collection should be showing up under the Analysis menu. Under the "Analysis" menu do you see an item for "Clean Chart"? It should right by this. Hi yes it's under Analysis but I want to add it to one of my existing charts not a clean chart, is that possible?
