Hey, I'd like to use SS to place automated orders. I had a problem with the setting: signal only on bar close - I closed the chartbook and re-opened it, and now it's working. Though Spreadsheets is still messing up entries and exits. I would like the program to execute in real time, and not on bar close. And that seems to be fine for most orders - However, the program often enters and exits, without having actually met the conditions. Truly, these are simple conditions, and they are being executed seemingly by accident. I believe these issues could be solved with a system that used limit orders, instead of market orders. If I learn acsil, will I run into the same problems? -Thanks, Ben Date Time Of Last Edit: 2023-01-09 23:30:27

You should not be having these problems with the Spreadsheet. If the system is generating signals, then you need to look at your conditions, as these must be going true. Therefore it is a matter of setting up the conditions properly. The same is true for ACSIL - in itself it will work properly, but if you are not careful with your conditions, then you could generate signals when you do not want them. This is just a programming issue that you need to work through to figure out what is occurring.
