hi...... I am receiving the following error message when I try to open the IB Symbol AUD.USD-CASH-IDEALPRO. (HD Request # 12 | Requesting 1 Day of data at 30 secs with ending date-time at 2022-12-26 08:50:35 for AUD.USD-CASH-IDEALPRO. PriceType:MIDPOINT | 2022-12-26 07:40:41.269 HD Request # 12 | Message from IB: Your API version does not support fractional size rules. Please upgrade to a minimum version 163. IB Error Code: 10285. Request ID: 200208. | 2022-12-26 07:40:41.468) It only occurs on this one symbol.Others i use are ok. I have updated the symbol list from the server,updated to the latest version of sierra charts.I have sent the same message to IB support but have not received any feed back as yet. Any help much appreciated. |

I am getting the same error message in the SC message log file. It is the only symbol with this issue. The AUD.USD-CASH-IDEALPRO chart has not updated since Monday 12-19-22 art 14:10 PM EST. I am running the latest IB TWS Version 10.20.1f and SC Version 2457. Looks like an IB issue with this 1 symbol. |

Yes, would be best at this point to contact Interactive Brokers. They should be able to resolve this.

This is the response I received from InterActive Brokers. Still unsure what I am supposed to do or where the problem lyes. Hello, Thank you for contacting Interactive Brokers. Please consider upgrading your API to the latest version. FX pairs will be getting new fractional size rules (AUD.USD was just the first), so in the near future many forex pairs would be inaccessible via API for clients using libraries without Decimal size support. Ok, there is nothing we can do about this right now. That is quite a lot of work for us to do an update like this. Not likely we would get to it for over a month from now. Nothing we can do.

I asked the question how do I overcome this problem to Interactive brokers and received the following response. "Initial Description: Forex symbol AUD.USD IDEAL PRO not up dating Response from IBCS at 28-Dec-2022 1. Remove or rename C:/TWS-API if you haven't changed the default installation folder 2. Download suitable for your OS package from https://interactivebrokers.github.io 3. Unpack/install4 You will find ibapi library relevant to the programming language you are using in /source folder. Please copy it to your project folder. Don't hesitate to ask if you have more questions." I installed the package and the cpp folder is there. I am not sure if this is the solution and where I should copy this folder to.No project folder for sierra charts. I am guessing the acs folder. I have not attached the folder/files(about 12 meg in size).Easy to dowload and install if it is of any use. FYI as I dont know if this will help or not and have not tried it on my installation of sierra charts. |

No none of those instructions make any sense. It sounds like that they want you to update the Interactive Brokers API. But the problem is Sierra Chart does not use any of their API software.
