I guess cmet means his datafeed froze. Today the Denali datafeed froze multiple times after the CME open. It happened to other people I'm trading with as well. Perhaps you can take a look.

I have had several data freezes on Denali today as well. Symbol ES. This has happened at least 4 times this morning. No changes to charts in the last several weeks. I trade with a group - all of us are using Sierra Chart and Denali and this happened to several others as well.

For clarification - the last data freeze occurred around 10:35 EDT this morning. When the freezes occurred, those of us that were experiencing the issue had the freezes at the same times.

It sounded like from the first post that Sierra Chart was in a frozen inoperable state. In this case our answer was correct.


However, if you notice the data feed stop but Sierra Chart was responsive, then this would be due to an Internet connectivity issue

Based upon the reports here, if you had a problem with the data feed stopping/lagging at 9:37 central time that most likely was on our side, because one of the connections had reached near capacity. We will explain more in another post as to why this occurred.

If the data feed is stopping for you, reconnect the data feed to go to a different server which may connect you to one of our other Internet connections:

Just to be clear, this sure looked like a data feed issue. Both instances stopped updating prices. 1 instance with DOM only, the other with 3 charts. SC only software running.

Was able to check connection in menu.

Prices started updating again without restarting or any other interaction.

Seems others had the same issue.

This happened several times for me as well, and it was specific to the CME (e.g. MES) feed. My barchart (e.g. AAPL) real-time data feed continued without a problem during the "freeze". My internet connection monitor showed no loss of data.

Normally this seems to happen only during very high volumes and for less than ten seconds, but that is subjective. I haven't set up a system to measure it.

We are aware of the problem this morning and we disconnected users from the affected server processes. The cause of this this incident this morning was different.

This only affected some users. Not all.
