Hi , I had a 3 contract sell order last night . When I moved my stop it somehow split into a 1 & a 2 separate line stop . As the trade went on the stops did not hit as I closed out the trade . I have no idea how I managed this but I have been wondering how to do this . reading on the forums show a “remove link from stop attached orders “ which I did I not have activated ? If this would actually create 2 separate stop that would be great , However I can’t seem to replicate this with the stops today even after adding the “ remove link “ I’m sure all I done was click on the stop line and 2 separate stop line appeared Look forward to your reply Kind regards R. |

The only way this would have occurred is if you had put in the orders as two separate orders with a quantity of 1 and 2 (respectively), and had the option for Scale In not set. Assuming both parent orders were at the same price and the setup on your Trade Window did not change, then this would have placed the Stops at the same location, which would then show as a total of 3 at that price. But, as you found, if you then went to move the Stop, it would break into the two separate Stops that were actually entered and you then would move them separate from one another.
