Hi, I can't figure out exactly what setting allows me to double right click on a drawing to delete it. In some workspaces a double right clik deletes a drawing and in other workspaces right click selects the drawing and opens the mouse menu so I have to manually select "erase drawing" (here double clicking does not erase the drawing)... Any ideas of what setup I must use to make sure that double clicking directly erases the drawing ? Many thanks ! |

We believe you are looking for this setting: Chart Drawing Tools: Enable Delete Selected Drawing With Right Click (Global Settings >> Tool Settings >> General >> Tool Options) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Hi John, Thank you for your answer. Indeed I'm using the suggested setting already. I have 2 diffenret sub instances for 2 different products (lets say sub instance A and B). Both sub instances have exactly the same tool settings selected, which for the right click are: "Enable delete selected drawing qith right click" to Yes "Right click Exits Current Drawing Tool to" Hand But the results differ -In A the first right click selects the drawing and the second click deletes the drawing and changes the pointer to hand (which is exactly what I want) -In B the first right click selects the drawing and opens the mouse menu. Here the second right click doesn't do anything at all All settings in the Tool settings are the same, but the results are not identical ... can this be related to another settting somewhere else ? Thanks again for your help |

The idea behind "Enable Delete Selected Drawing with Right Click" is that you would use this in combination with the "Support Left Click to select Chart Drawings". This way, you would left click to select and then right click to delete. But, in working with this to to what you are experiencing, we found that the setting for Keep Chart Drawing Selected After Modification has an impact on how the Right Click works with respect to the delete. Such that if this open is set to Yes, then when you right-click and right-click again it will delete the drawing. Hi John, Thanks to your insight I finally managed to homogenize my 2 worspaces. Now when I left clik it selcts and then with the right click it deletes, but alsoI'f I'm on drawing mode (with the pencil cursor) when I double right click it deletes it too, which was what I was looking for. For the community record, to achieve that result I selected the following settings: - Support left click to select chart darwings YES - Double LCik on drawings bring up drawing proporties NO - Keep chart drawing selected after modification YES - Enable delete selected drawing with right click YES - Right click Exits current Drawing tool to HAND With this combination of settnigs it works in the way described above. Thanks again, Have a good day |
