Hello, I have an alert system on a lower timeframe chart (1-second) and I would like to review on a higher timeframe such as 1-minute. When I use study/price overlay study, I'll only get the alert to show on the chart if it falls directly on first or last second of the lower timeframe.

Is it possible to plot all occurrences using other studies or a spreadsheet?

If we are understanding this correctly, you are using a Study/Price Overlay with a Color Bar Based on Alert Condition study and taking the Color Bar Based on Alert Condition from a 1 second chart to a 1 minute chart.

If the above is correct, then the main thing you want to ensure you do is that the option for Bar Time Matching Method in the Study/Price Overlay should be set to Containing Match.

But, be aware that the 1 minute chart is only going to show the status from the most recent bar, or for previous bars it will only show the status from the 59th second.

This is what I'm trying to avoid; most values on the 1-second chart are '0' with the occasional alert. Is there any workaround? Would be nice to plot all values greater than 0 on the 1 minute chart.

To do what you are suggesting, you really need to put the 1 minute chart onto the 1 second chart. If you only want to see the bars where the alert is true in the 1 second chart, then you would need to change the chart graphics for the bars so they are the same as the background and then the Color Bar Based On Alert Condition will make the true ones a different color.

Also, on the Study/Price Overlay, you will want to set the Input for Fill Blanks with Last Value to No, unless you want to see the 1 minute bar repeated across all of the 1 second bars. Or, you can use the option for Use MultiColumn Rectangle Style for Price Bars.

This kind of leads back to the overall problem, I'm trying to see bigger picture (the entire day or more) and when viewing candles on a 1-second chart, I only get about 40 minutes of trades.
