The past two Sundays, April 27th and May 4th users have logged on to their charts and have been able to see the price and time move with the open market, but a candlestick has not appeared on the charts at the open market time of 21:00:00 UTC like it has on all previous sundays. The candlestick will not appear until 0:00UTC the start of the UTC monday. Previous to the 27th of April traders were able to see the candlestick appear right at 21:00:00 UTC showing the correct date, etc. On Sunday April 27th and May 4, 2014 the candlestick finally appeared at the open of the UTC day 0:00 UTC the date of course showed the 28th or the 5th for the candlestick. These users have not changed any chart settings, but have updated their Charting Software each week to make sure that they are running the current version. They first started noticing issues with version 1125. Below are screenshots of settings and charts from this Sunday, again settings have not been adjusted at all and they were able to get the candlesticks appearing at 21:00:00 UTC market open on Sundays before the 27th of April. Please advise as to what may have caused this issue and how we maybe able to fix it for these traders.

The problem is you have Chart >> Chart Settings >> Load Weekend Data disabled. You will need to enable that.

The traders of ours located in Utah that are having issues with the SC Forex Data feed not posting a candle on Sunday at 21:01:00 UTC time, tried the Download Weekend Data this weekend and still did not get a candle stick until several hours later on Sunday evening. One of the traders that is having this issue stated the following in an email to us: "Loading weekend data does not work and does not work as a bandaid to this problem. I have downloaded all of the builds from the past month and have found that this issue didn't exist last on version 1119 Pre-Release. Version 1120 Pre-Release was when the bug was introduced. We (there are several traders having this issue) trade every Sunday as a group at 21:00 UTC and we are flying blind because of this problem." The user who emailed me the above email also sent a few screenshots showing his findings in the different versions. Before Sunday, April 27th there were no issues with getting the candlestick and data right at 21:01:00 UTC on Sunday afternoon in Utah. The overall Time zone on DTS settings is set to UTC time zone. Could there have been a change in the updates that have caused this change? Is there a way to fix it and make it so the candlestick appears on time? Or is there something else that we can try? |

There never has been a bug here. There has been a change where Load Weekend Data filters out bars with a Date-Time which are actually on a weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and the option no longer considers what is the "trading day date" of a data record. We have done a test with Load Weekend Data set using your time zone and Chart Settings, and we see a Sunday bar: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=139995163590.png We are convinced, that this is a settings problem and that Load Weekend Data has not been enabled on the chart being looked at . The Session Times may also be filtering out the data. We cannot see any other possibility. There should be no trouble with this at all. This is 100% certain. For the reference, refer to help topic 7 here: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails7.html For testing also use version 1135 which is the latest version. This is what we are testing with. While we do not think an earlier version would have a problem, it is important for comparison purposes that you are using the same version that we are using. Before posting on this again, make sure the settings are correct. There cannot be a problem here. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
