Am I able to display a Study name label (for example Open from the Daily OHLC study) on the "DOM side" of the Chart DOM ?
If i select to place the name label in the "Label Column" Nothing seems to show up even though I have General Purpose 1 and General Purpose 2 Columns selected as columns on the DOM and expanded to be able to see the labels on the DOM.
I can see the labels I have created on the right and the right edge of the chart when i select to display it in those positions.

Thank you

General Purpose 1 and 2 do not support the Labels directly. They are meant to be used by custom studies.

The column you need is the Label Column and then you can put the label from the study into the "Label Column". Refer to the information here:

Thank you
For some reason I did not see it when i was looking the the columns
I was able to add it successfully

I had a f/u question regarding the coloring on the name labels. When I built a Trade DOM I was using Study Subgraph Overlay to create some of the levels. At that time i noticed that I could create a label with a white background with colored text inside of it. I did not really know how it happened but it just appeared that way. Now I am trying to do the same thing on the Chart DOM without using Study Subgraph Overlay. I am using a Daily OHLC study. I am abel to select one color either using the Names and labels or checking the labels box. I am able to reverse the colors. But I am not able to do say blue text on white background. Am I able to do this ?

Also what study is best for the Overnight levels to display on the overnight session and carry those levels over to day session. Is it the Daily OHLC study ? Or do you suggest a different one.

Thanks again

Regarding coloring the labels, the color is defined by the color of the Subgraph color. If "Reverse Colors" is not selected, then the text is black. If you "Reverse Colors" then the color of the text is the color of the subgraph.

Regarding the Overnight Levels, you would want to use the High/Low for Time Period - Extended study. Refer to the information here:

I am not able to reproduce the colors as you are saying ?
For example
I have a red color selected and Subgraph Name and Value selected in Draw Style
I also have the label checked off and the label color=white
I have name label and reverse color selected:
I see a white label with black text inside of it in the label column
If remove the reverse color I see white text on black background

If uncheck label i see red text on black background
if i now check reverse i see red label with black text

Is there a way display white label background with red text ?

Thank you

Sorry, we forgot about the "Label" option. This is a way to have a different color for the label from the subgraph. Refer to the information for this here:
Chart Studies: Subgraphs Tab >> Label

There is not a way to set the color of the text when the label is displayed with the background.
