Hi, I have this problem. When a new trading day begins at 6 pm EST, my charts do not automatically update, and it looks like I am not getting live data, even though the connection is there. I have to disconnect and reconnect to let the charts continue to update in real time. My broker is Advantage futures with CQG data feed. Previously, I was with Velocity futures then ILQ futures. Both of them used TT data. I did not have this problem. I am wondering if this could be related to the data feed. Thanks! |

This is definitely a data feed problem if reconnecting to the data feed resolves the issue. So far, I have not found a solution for this. Still, charts do not update at 6 pm market open, even though it shows connected. It may take from 10 minutes to several hours before the charts start updating again (without my intervenience), or they just never going to update unless I disconnet and reconnect. I bring this threat up in hope that if Sierra Chart Engineers or any other Advantage/CQG/Sierra Charts users had met a similar problem and found a solution, please help. Thanks.

This sounds like a Session Times settings issue. Refer to help topic 3.3: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/helpdetails3.html#h3.3 Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I looked ino topic 3.3 My start time is 00:00:00, and the end time is 23:59:59. The only difference from the sample picture is my "New Bar At Session Start" is checked. But I guess it should not matter. Btw, my time zone set is UTC. Another hint: The DF number on the top right corner, during normal market session, it increases at a speed of 10+ per second. During market down time, it increases by about 1 per second. When the market reopens, it still goes like 1 per second incresae. |

Therefore, this does sound like a data feed problem and we have not had other reports of this. When you see this occur, send us your CQG username through an Account Support Ticket and make reference to this thread: https://www.sierrachart.com/usercp.php?page=SupportTickets Let us know the time it occurs and the time zone. We will then report the issue to CQG so they can check their log files. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
