the resolution of the charts changes randomly for no reason. The price numbers and control bar icons render at unreadable resolution as displayed in the picture attached. I've checked my laptop resolution and all configuration is ok. This happens only in the Sierra Charts application. at some point, the resolution comes back in the right way and stays ok for some time, and then goes back to the small unreadable resolution. thanks in advance, |

There are a couple of possible things occurring. 1) You get sent a Global Configuration file through the Send File option within Sierra Chart and you are accepting the download of that configuration file. If this is occurring, then do not accept the download of the configuration file. 2) You have some charts setup to use the Global Graphics and some charts setup for Chart Graphics. Unless you have specific reasons for wanting chart to use different graphics settings, it is best to just use the Global settings. Refer to the information here: Graphics Settings: Using Different Color and Graphics Settings for Specific Charts Otherwise, these items should not change. Please set your charts up as you want them to be, and then let us know if they change again without it being one of the above situations. Thanks for the reply. I checked the second option you provides and I went to Chart, then Graphics settings, then Fonts and click on Reset to Default to each of one of the parameters. Now, it's much, much better however there are some icons in the control bar that are still small unreadable resolution as you can look at the pic attached. Do you have any suggestions to get them a bigger resolution? second question. I don't understand how I can check the global configuration file. I don't recall any accepting to download it. Could you provide more detail? thanks in advance, MLA |

The problem you are having is not related to a global configuration file being received and accepted. What you are experiencing is display scaling changes at the operating system level which is causing fonts in Sierra Chart to change. It is the operating system doing this.: Graphics Settings: Font Sizes Unexpectedly Changing Refer to: Graphics Settings: Fonts and Text Appearance Graphics Settings: Adjusting Graphics Settings and Fonts for High DPI Displays We do not recommend using the default font but choose the font, that is appropriate for you.
