Hey, I have a bracket orders set when I trade. I was in a long and price went drastically down. I would expect my SL to close my trade at any available price. But it did not! I had to close trade manually far below the level of my SL. Can you please advise why this is happening? Instead of 6-8 ticks of loss I hit 17 ticks of loss. I want to understand why it did not close the trade. Thanks |

So did you actually have a stop order working at the price that you wanted it to fill at? First thing is to look at the Trade Activity Log for that order: Trade Activity Log Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Yes, I have stop maintained. Each time when I place a trade I have a target and stop bracket orders set. SL was visible on screen when I placed a trade but when price reached it with huge volume spike nothing happened. It just remained opened - my initial order was not closed too. Trade service log shows the following info (see screen in attachment). |

Are you doing live trading with Rithmic? If you are, there is no reason to be using Rithmic and instead you should be using Teton: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing We really cannot help with this. Refer to: Rithmic Trading Platform Service: Rithmic Support Policy You have all of the information in the Trade Activity Log. You need to just simply work this out with Rithmic or your trading service provider using the information that you see: Trade Activity Log: Viewing Historical Trade Activity For example, locate the Stop order and then provide them with the Service Order ID.
