When a session ends and rolls over to the next day session it displays the high and low shadows from the previous days candlestick. It is not until I close out the chart book and reload the markets that this is corrected. Example: ES closes on 04/15/14 opens back up on 04/15/14 but is the 04/16/14 session. It doesn't start a new candle right away it takes time (I dont know how much). Wwhen I finally does display a new candle it has the entire price action from the previous session in it. |

If you reconnect to the data feed with the Disconnect and Connect commands on the File menu, do you see the high and low bar values for the most recent date, reset to correct values.

Tried this after the sessions closed. Does not work. At 18:30PST I disconnected and reconnected. All open markets remained on the previous days session. Once I closed out SC and reopened all markets were correct. Today I did not have the issues of the shadows as I did yesterday. I think yesterday I opened and closed SC earlier in the day which caused the shadows to be transferred from the previous days session.

We made a small mistake. One of the things you need to also do after reconnecting to the data feed is select Edit >>Reload All Charts. We have now created a help topic about this . It is help topic 12.9: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/helpdetails12.html#h12.9 We suspect the problem has to do with the data feed. If you follow through the procedure given in help topic 12.9 and it corrects the problem, the issue is on the data feed side and we do not have control over that.
