v2357, Sierrachart cancelled all open orders including stops and targets on an open position, upon attempting to modify a stop order price while market is closed.

Order did not adjust but stayed at the original price, did not indicate modification was pending. Restarted Sierrachart, and all open orders were cancelled.

Log says "Pending Cancel. Internally marking as canceled. No order update from server. For Trade Account: (not specified). Internal cancel" .

Is it possible to modify an order while market is closed, for the pending modification to be submitted upon the open?

If not, possible to reject the modification without cancelling all open orders leaving a naked position?

This is not correct. Sierra Chart does not cancel orders under this condition. Only you can cancel those orders expressly.

This is simply because TWS is not giving Sierra Chart the order data for an open orders request. This is the kind of nonsense issues you get when using Interactive Brokers:

Gratefully no one bothers us with these things anymore, except this post. There are plenty of warnings here:

And if anyone wonders about all of the warnings and complaints on the Interactive Brokers page, your post proves that.

I certainly did not cancel the orders, the trade log shows a modification and then the above message shown. Can you clarify who cancelled them?

Are you saying Sierrachart cancelled them because TWS did not respond while the exchange was closed, but this would be different with another service?

They were not canceled! They were never canceled by Sierra Chart. TWS did not give any response to an open orders request. So therefore there were no longer any open orders and that is why they were indicated as canceled(Nonworking) within Sierra Chart.

Interactive brokers is a waste of our time and we are declining further support. We are declining further support and we are not providing any further help with this whatsoever. This thread is locked.

Our support policy is very clear with interactive brokers. We do not provide any support for it.

We are locking this thread. Please do not ask us anything further about interactive brokers.
