I have an Intel Xeon processor, 12GB of RAM and a SSD drive where only SierraChart and two other programs are installed. During periods of high volatility and volume, my DOM's and Time & Sales lag. The lag lasts around a second. I have 4 DOM's up (NQ, ES, RTY, YM) and Time & Sales for NQ. I have no charts up. Chart update interval is set to 20ms. I use Delayed Data Feed. I tried reinstalling SierraChart without luck. The problem was worse on HDD, that's why I recently upgraded to SSD but the problem still persists. I want to have a smooth DOM experience without any pauses. What to do? Thank you! |

I have my other DOM's in sub instances, but now I can't recenter them anymore by using a hotkey. How do I fix this?

Does the re-centering function as you expect when using this command: Trade Menu: Re-Center Trade DOM Scales (Trade menu) Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. No, except when all DOM's are in the same instance. In my case, each DOM is in a separate instance, they don't re-center.

DOM's still lag sometimes during high volume, even if each DOM is in a separate instance. I have the newest version of Sierra Chart.

Yes this will be true: In my case, each DOM is in a separate instance, they don't re-center.
First the data you are already receiving is delayed: DOM's still lag sometimes during high volume, even if each DOM is in a separate instance.
Therefore, we need to understand are you noticing an increase in the delay, or is the Chart or Trading DOM, seem sluggish? Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. The DOM's freeze for a couple of seconds or less when there's a high amount of volume (many trades taking place, like at open) at a particular moment. They are smooth when there's low volume and the market is not very busy (like at noon). The data feed is delayed 10 min as usual but sluggish/laggy as described above. Hello, Did you get a resolution for this problem? I'm also experiencing the same issue with multiple DOMS from multiple Sierra Chart processes. No Charts open.
