I understand you want us Transact users to switch to a new broker but at the moment every night after 6pm eastern I log into Transact and the domes work fine but SC gets hung "connecting" for hours each night. Not giving me much confidence in eliminating Transact for now. What is the problem? Are you just trying to frustrate us enough to move to a new broker?

The problem is with the Transact Websocket authentication server. That is clear. And also the Transact software does not use that same authentication server. The transact front end trading program does not use the websocket services. Transact has also been bought by ninja. Are they going to continue to even support any of the Transact software? We do not think so. That would not be in their interest. Are you just trying to frustrate us enough to move to a new broker? No. We would have no control over this. And that is not something that we would do anyway. But we do want Sierra Chart users off of Transact as soon as possible and we do not want to lose you as a customer ,if possible, but we are going to remove Transact support. That is long overdue. You should have full confidence in moving. Just look at the problem you are facing now with Transact. And you see how you are misplacing the fault. This is one out of numerous reasons why we do not want users on Transact because people fault the substandard service you get from them on us. And you are going to move on to a superior solution. Do you know even with the transact software that you do not even have server managed OCO and bracket orders? Unless they have done an update that we are not aware of but this has not been available even through the websocket server. Hi SC Support Board, I'm in the process of shifting from TransAct to Stage5 and although Stage5 website shows a nice DOM similar to Transact learned after the fact that it does not work with SC/Teton. Although for the most part I trade from the charts, I do trade from the DOM too. The other critical thing the DOM does is allow easy and rapid changes to my trade type, SL/TP and trailing stop settings when entering a trade. Attached is what their DOM and scoreboard look like. Questions: 1) Was the DOM we see from TransAct created by using the SC DOM editing commands or did this require specialized programming expertise? 2) Is it possible to create a similar type DOM on Teton using SC's DOM editing features? 3) If Teton DOM needs specialized programming expertise can you recommend programmers specializing in this so I can get a cost estimate. (My guess is it should be an off the shelf item for certain programmers?) 4) If you want Teton to be a runnaway success, suggest SC solicit user feedback on key DOM features desired then create (include) a similar DOM with your Teton service. (This allows traders to change from what we are used to, to trading close enough to same.) Hope to hear from you soon! Thank you, -Richard |

Thanks for Prompt Reply SC support but you did not answer my questions? I have spent many hours looking at the SC support board and watchING video's to try and understand SC DOM customization. It does not appear obvious to me you can recreate the Transact style DOM using just your commands? Is this correct? Questions: 1) Was the DOM we see from TransAct created by using the SC DOM editing commands or did this require specialized programming expertise? 2) Is it possible to create a similar type DOM on Teton using SC's DOM editing features? 3) If Teton DOM needs specialized programming expertise can you recommend programmers specializing in this so I can get a cost estimate. Hi Richard, As a former Infinity Broker I fully understand the trials and tribulations of changing brokerage firms and no longer being able to use the Transact AT. With that being said, Stage 5 takes great pride in helping Transact/Infinity traders transition as seamlessly as possible. Personally, I believe the best solution would be to switch to Sierra Teton Order Routing with Denali for real time and historical data. This is all maintained by Sierra directly, which I feel provides great benefits to traders as Sierra can focus on enhancements instead of maintenance of other third party order routing feeds. In addition, I feel it is the best overall quality and value for traders. You can open an account for as little as $100 and you will receive $0.20 per side commissions on the micros and $0.45 commissions on non micros plus exchange and regulatory fees. Please feel free to contact us and we will gladly assist you with any questions you may have and/or the process of transitioning your account and hopefully helping you improve your current trading solution. We would be able to provide some DOM chartbook layouts that will hopefully be more in line with what you are accustomed to. In addition, we would be more than happy to have a remote session to help get you setup with the new layouts. If you have questions or would like to speak to an assigned personal broker for details, please call us at 1-312-896-9897 or 1-800-258-6675. It really depends on the account type you are looking to open and how efficient the process is fairly quick. Below you will find feedback from some traders that recently transitioned. Keep in mind Was migrating your brokerage account over to Sierra Teton a smooth and efficient process? • Yes, just follow the instructions, everything is explained. • Migrating was very easy, you did an awesome job! • Could not get any better. Highly efficient • Yes, except that trading access to some symbols needed to be manually updated. • Migrating was smooth and no issues. • Yes indeed that was smooth You guys were spot on with your work and communication and with a bit of testing today looks like it will be a solid connection • Extremely quick No issues whatsoever. • Yes • Yes, thanks to Byron. SierraCharts docs on Teton were also helpful. • Yes. very smooth...no glitches. • Yes • Thank you very much for your help in opening the account. The process is very good. • Migrating the account was easy and painless. Sierra and Stage 5 representatives were always quick to respond to my emails. Testimonials are not necessarily indicative of future performance or success and may not represent the opinion of all participants. There was no compensation to the trader for this opinion. The other critical thing the DOM does is allow easy and rapid changes to my trade type, SL/TP and trailing stop settings when entering a trade. This is supported through the use of Trade Window configurations:Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Using and Changing Between Different Trade Window and Attached Orders Configurations 1) Was the DOM we see from TransAct created by using the SC DOM editing commands or did this require specialized programming expertise? We cannot help with software from Transact.2) Is it possible to create a similar type DOM on Teton using SC's DOM editing features?
For the Sierra Chart Trading DOM, for the available functionality, refer to:Chart Trading and the Chart DOM: Trade DOM It is a very configurable. (This allows traders to change from what we are used to, to trading close enough to same.) This has been the case for years. The Sierra Chart Trading DOM is extensively used and has numerous features.
