Question about activation for Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed

Hi Support,

I've looked at each page dealing with historical, real-time data and exchanges. I can't quite figure out what I need to activate from Sierra Chart. I've been pleased with my current account as-is and I've connected to IB and IQFeed. Both work, but IQFeed definitely has significantly better data and resulting indicators looked better with IQFeed.

I'm looking to replace IQFeed by activating the data offerings from Sierra Chart. With IQFeed (real-time), I had IQ Core Feed service, CME Emini, NYSE, Nasdaq and RT US Futures Entitlement. I'd like to replicate that with Sierra Chart, at least with CME data. I can rely on daily historical downloads for stocks.

Questions

1. Is the Historical Data service already a part of my current plan? If not, where do I activate it?
2. I assume your historical and your real-time work seamlessly, but I'm concerned about not having the software running one day and this leading to gaps in the charts.
3. If I go with real-time data through Sierra Chart, it looks like all CME with Market depth is 33.00/month, and if I want US Equities 10.50/month. So, am I correct that to approximate what I had with IQFeed, I would just need to pay an additional 43.50 per month (33 + 10.50)?
4. I have signed agreements with IB for the exchanges and real-time data. Do I need to do this again for Sierra Chart? No problem if I have to, just curious.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Regards,

John

I see that Support tickets get placed here in the forum. I'm not sure if my reply will be placed here as well, so here it is:

Hi Support,

I believe I have answered 3 of the 4 questions.

1. I had not activated the Historical service. Now that I have, I do see historical data for ES MAR2022 futures going back to June 2021 (as expected) but for stock they stop sooner than expected. For example AMAT, in a new chart, with "Use Date Range" set to 2020-01-10 - 2022-01-14, provides me with 5 days. Am I missing a service or payment to get historical data for all US stocks, and rely on IB to fill in real-time?
2. I don't need an answer. Seamless integration is present.
3. I don't need an answer. Pricing is clear.
4. I don't need an answer. My guess is I pay for real-time data at both IB and Sierra Chart.

1. This will depend on what your Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Current Selected Service is set to. Sierra Chart is setup to first get any real-time data from us that you have signed up for. Then it looks to the trading service for anything else. Unless you have this set to SC Data - All Services in which case, you would be getting all your data from us - including historical data for non-real-time symbols.

If you have your service set to SC Data - All Services then you have access to much more than 5 days of data. Refer to the following:
Historical Intraday Data (Missing Data / Download Errors / Viewing More Data): Downloading/Viewing More Historical Intraday Data

4. You do not need to pay for both, unless you are wanting to also trade from the Interactive Broker software. But, if this is not the case, then you can let IB know that you do not want the data from them and they should stop it.
