Hello, I have a few questions, all related to options trading with the Sierra Chart (options on futures): 1. as far as I understand it is not possible to open a standard option chain in tabular form, right? Just like ToS and others platforms. - after great difficulties I managed to find the options I am looking for and: 2. I want to make a very simple and standard vertical spread. Somehow I succeeded graphically, but I have no success with all attempts to execute an order as a spread and not leg by leg. Help on this please. 3. Is it possible to visualize the spread itself as an option strategy and not just the price chart of the spread? 4. The options Greeks? is there any way to get this information? The Sierra Chart is exceptional software, but in its options trading section it is, to put it mildly, extremely inconvenient to work with (or I'm not familiar with the easy way, so I'm asking here) so I want to ask if there is a chance to upgrade and improve options trading in Sierra? Thanks in advance and Happy Holidays! |

1, I think what option data you can get is determined by your data provider, not Sierra: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/CQGTrading.php#CQGOptionSupportPolicy Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Futures Options 2, I don't think Sierra will have any plan to support features like Option Chain, Analyze Tab or Greeks. stupid question but, how do i open an option chain? Option Chain 3, I have traded stocks and futures option for a few years and firmly believe options are terrible instruments for retail traders, low liquidity, wide bid-ask spread among other downsides, I thought trading option would save my time and effort to study underlying's price action, which can not be further from the truth, after all, whether I make or lose money on options is really at mercy of underlying's price action, imo. That was how I started to trade Futures. |
