Hi, I'm a little at a loss. As a former customer of Sierrachart I currently use CQG-realtime data feed and trade via the Q-Trader, my broker is AMP-Futures. I would like to have access to Sierrachart's chart and analysis tools again.
Two questions:
What would be the optimal set-up for me in this context?
If I were to trade via Sierrachart: Would I have the same technical comfort as with CQG, i.e. speed and DOM trading options?

Thank you for an answer and best regards

We recommend using Service Package 10 or higher which includes the Denali Exchange Data Feed and use Sierra Chart provided market data, rather than from CQG. Full documentation for this data feed:
Denali Exchange Data Feed

Service Package information:
Description of Service Packages and Pricing

We have temporarily activated your account. So you can begin to use Sierra Chart.

Here are the set up instructions to use Sierra Chart with CQG:
CQG Trading Platform Service: Setup Instructions

Would I have the same technical comfort as with CQG, i.e. speed and DOM trading options?
Yes absolutely. Refer to this page:

Hi, everything is good, just two more questions:
Does Denali also include real-time data for the cash index DAX and the cash index SP 500?
What do I have to select at AMP if I take Service Pack 10?

regards
Wolfgang

The DAX and SP500 are both available through the Denali Exchange Data Feed, although you will need to activate the exchange(s) you need for the CME Group to get the S&P 500 (ES) and then the EUREX exchange to get the DAX (FDAX).

The instructions to setup the Denali Exchange Data Feed for the CME Group is here:
Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: CME/CBOT/NYMEX/COMEX Exchanges*

And then you would go through the instructions for the EUREX here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/DenaliExchangeDataFeed.php#SetupInstructions_EUREX

----------

The item you have highlighted (Sierra Chart - Denali - CQG (No Data - Order Routing Only)) is the correct one to select for your AMP account, since you will be getting the data from us through our Denali Exchange Data Feed.

Hi, thanks and okay, but there are still some questions for me:

With the link you sent, the price for Service Package 10 Standard including Denali is $ 46, on the SC website for the description of the packages it is $ 36 (see attachment). What is the currently valid price?

If I understand everything correctly, that would be $ 36/46 plus, for example, a CME fee of $ 10.40 plus a Eurex fee of $ 25? (both depth of market)

CQG appears for this option in the AMP description (Sierra Chart - Denali - CQG, No Data - Order Routing Only). To what extent are there still costs?

Thank you and best regards
Wolfgang

No it does not. Futures only.

The price of Service Package 10 is 36 USD per month. Exchange fees are extra and as you explain above.

Okay, everything's fine, thank you. I will register in the next few days. Any idea how to get the cash indices in real time?

Best regards and a nice weekend!

Hi, sorry, now I made a mistake. I still had a credit at Sierrachart and have now transferred $ 40 to reactivate the account. But that was with Service Package 5 and without Denali. How can I now upgrade to Service Package 10 with Denali for CME and Eurex?

Thank you and regards
Wolfgang

To change your Sierra Chart Service Package, select "Help >> Account Control Panel" on the Sierra Chart program menu. On the displayed webpage, click on the "Set Service Package for Renewal" link.

Or go to this page:
https://www.sierrachart.com/UserControlPanel.php?page=ServicesActivation

You will need to login if you are not currently logged in.

In the "Available Services >> Choose Usage Time Service Package" frame, select the Service Package that you want to set your account to. Press the "Set" button.

The remaining service usage time on your account will be adjusted based upon the cost of the package you are changing to. If the new package is a higher-priced package, then the usage time will be reduced due to the higher price.

There is no charge for changing your Sierra Chart service package. Only your Sierra Chart account usage time ending date is adjusted.

When changing between Sierra Chart Service Packages, the usage time ending date on your Sierra Chart account is adjusted based upon the price differences between the package you are changing from and the package you are changing to.

When changing to a higher priced package, your usage time ending date will be brought back closer in time. When changing to a lower-priced package, your usage time ending date will be brought forward further out in time.

-------------------------

Then to use the Denali Exchange Data Feed, you will need to follow the Setup Instructions first for the CME Group, which can be accessed at the following link:
Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: CME/CBOT/NYMEX/COMEX Exchanges*

And then go through the Setup Instructions for EUREX, which can be accessed at the following link:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/DenaliExchangeDataFeed.php#SetupInstructions_EUREX

Hi, thank you very much, everything worked fine. I only have two questions:
Although the message "The AMP Account is already linked to this Sierra Chart account" appears in my SC account management, only the old IB account is displayed in the DOM and I can only trade in SIM mode. What else do I have to do?

The list of available SC-symbols also includes the S&P index ($ INX). Is there any data feed for this?

Regards
Wolfgang

Hi, thanks, but I'm a bit confused now ... after the instructions (CQG Trading Platform Service) I have to go to "Data / Trade Service Settings" CQG Select API Trading. But because of the Denali data feed I selected "SC Data - All Services". CQG is only for trading, I get the data from Denali, or how does it work? Or do I have to get a new trading account from AMP / CQG?

Sierra Chart is setup to allow you to get the data from (Denali Exchange Data Feed) and trade with your trading account. Therefore, you need to go through those instructions to connect to CQG. You will still get your data from us after you have that setup.

Okay thanks. I think that I have now connected CQG as a trading account ...
I don't know how to check this. I don't have a real time data feed, but the trading account is displayed. Is that the correct state? Then I need the information to activate Sierrachart.

Our servers are showing that you are connected to CQG. Additionally, your account has been updated to reflect that you have made the connection, so you are good for the data from the CME Group as a non-professional.

You should have real-time data for everything now. The one thing we can think of that you may need to do is to update your symbols, if you did not change them once you made the connection to CQG. To do this open your Chartbooks and then select Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service. This will update all your charts to the CQG symbols.

Let us know if you are still having issues after you do this.

Hi, everything is going well, thank you very much. "Translate symbols" provided the solution...
I just don't understand yet how it is with the index. In "available symbols" the SP 500 index is listed as "$ INX", I can also call it up, but it only shows the chart until 6.30 p.m. CET today. Can I still activate anything there?

best regards
Wolfgang

Refer to the following regarding Cash Indices:
Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Cash Indexes

If you are looking for the S&P 500 Futures from the CME Group, then that symbol is listed under the CME exchange on the Find Symbol window. The symbol for it is F.US.EP since you are connected to CQG.

Hi, thanks, sorry, I just don't understand (maybe because of my mediocre English ...) where should I sign for the Cash Index S+P? I have delay data (see attachment), but no real time. What should I do?

To get Real-Time data for that symbol ($INX), you would need to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed and enable the S&P Indices exchange.

The instructions for setting up the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed can be found at the following link:

Hi, everything works fine. Just a small question: I have set Time & Sales as in the photo, but it also shows ask bid sizes that are smaller than 60. What should I do?

Sorry, we gave the incorrect information previously. You had the correct setup originally. You need to enter 60 in the Bid Size >= and Ask Size >=. We deleted the post where we gave the wrong information.

Then, what you need to keep in mind when looking at the data is that you have to look at the Ask updates separate from the Bid updates. In other words, you will only see Ask updates that have an Ask Size that is 60 or greater, but if you look at the Ask Size from a Bid Update, it could show you a larger number.

Yes, thank you, no problem, it works now, I understand the bid and ask phenomenon.
But now I have the last question before Christmas ... ;-)
Where can I see the market orders actually traded?
What does Sierrachart call these parameters?
Thanks for an answer and merry christmas!

You can view the actual trades at a price level using either the Volume by Price study or the Numbers Bars study.

To use the Numbers Bars, you need to be on Package 11. Therefore, start with the Volume by Price Study and see if it gives you what you need. Refer to the following:
Volume By Price Study

In particular, note the display of the numbers in the bars with the following Input:
Volume By Price Study: Display Volume in Bars

You will find the documentation for the Numbers Bars here:

Hi, everything is going fine, thank you, just a little question of understanding: The S + P Index ($ INX) works fine, the Nasdaq Index ($ NASX) not at all, although both are included in the "available symbols list Index realtime". Do I still have to activate something?
