i have market depth chart that i have been setting up all night. (thats also frustrating, wish we could just a sample chart book to start with).

why isn't last stair step on close working ?

it was working during early AM (from 10 PM PST until 3 AM PST while i was setting it up, it was working find)
woke up this morning to see it work when i load the chart but only for a few seconds and then it stops.


why? super frustrating

It looks like you have a locked fill space and therefore you are not fully scrolled to the end of the chart. Refer to the following:

ephi144 I understand being frustrated, But in all my years trading I find SC the best on the planet, That being said I had a learning curve. SC lets me set things up like I want it and other platforms DO NOT. This is a very powerful platform that requires the user to familiarize themselves with the software that hopefully makes you plenty of cash.

SC allows me to be BETTER than an average retail trader.

thank you, but i have not* locked fill space. If i use AAPL as symbol (or any other symbol) it works fine. only ES-202112-GLOBEX does not work.

does it have to do with my global symbol settings? attached are the two shots for symbol settings.

also attached is setting for chart's time zone as well.

i wonder if i dont understand timezone under symbol setting and chart settings?
i am in PST so i set chart's zone as PST and symbol setting as NYC???

This has nothing to do with Time Zones. The Time Zone setting in the Symbol Settings is establishing the Time Zone for the entry of the Start and End times of the Session Times in the Symbol Settings. That is all.

If you like to see your charts in PST, then what you have set is also fine. Although it is easier to set the Global Time Zone (in Global Settings >> Time Zone Settings) and use that global time zone for your charts.

With regards to the lock fill space, you can also temporarily lock the Fill Space by holding the Ctrl button and scrolling to the right. In the end, what you want to do is look at the number that is displayed in the bottom right corner of the screen and ensure that it is highlighted in Green. If it is green and you are still not seeing the most recent bar's information, then something else is going on. Otherwise, make sure you scroll the chart bars back to the left until you get a green highlighted number in that corner, at which point you will have scrolled to the end.

the lock fill is not checked. here is the darn thing. after 3 PM PST now the dang thing is working. so i am thinking this has to do with timezone setting or something other than lock fill which i do not have checked.
it does not work during US hours (6:30 AM PST until 3 PM PST) for ES-202112-GLOBEX symbol. super confused
