Hello Sierra,

I have setting up my work template on Sierra but the large volume indicator isn't visible on my 250 tick chart. I already tested the other indicators and they work fine. What can I do to see the large volume indicator?

Thankyou

We need more information. In particular, if your Auto-Threshold is high, then it's possible that there simply were not any trades that were greater than the threshold.

So the first thing to do is to make sure the threshold is low enough to show some data and then see if you still are not getting anything. If that is the case, then we would need to see your Chartbook with the chart in it with that study on it so we can see how you have it set and why the information is not showing.

Thanks for your reply,

Where can I check my Auto-Threshold?

Sorry, we meant the Volume Threshold in the Large Volume Trade Indicator (not Auto-Threshold).

I checked the Volume Threshold and it is set like my other friend has, might the problem be beacause I am not connected to live data?

It is definitely not related to live data.

When we opened your chart we see the following:
http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1633622511766.png

So you are getting the Large Volume indicators, but for some reason it is "squishing" the chart down because it thinks there is a zero value somewhere that should be displayed.

But, we do not know why this is occurring and when we put the study on ourselves and set everything the same as you had it, everything is working fine.

Therefore, please remove the Large Volume Trade Indicator from your chart and put it back on again starting from a "fresh" study (i.e. go to Analysis >> Studies and add the Large Volume Trade Indicator back on the chart).

Let us know if you have the same issue again or not.

Please do the following for us:
- Go to the chart that is having this issue. Remove the Large Volume Trade Indicator study.
- Open your Message Log (Window >> Message Log).
- On the Message Log select Edit >> Clear Log
- Add the Large Volume Trade Indicator study back to the chart.
- On the Message Log select Send for Analysis.

Then let us know in this board post that you have completed these steps and we will take a look at the Message Log and see if there is anything in there that tells us what might be happening.

There is nothing in your log that gives us any information.

Please open a new chart for ESH22-CME and the put Large Volume Trade Indicator on it. Let us know if you get the dots showing or not.
