I'm trying to upgrade to sierra version 1094 and finding that there issues in displaying some studies -which work well on the current version that im using 1077 for SC. Particularly, cumulative delta and bid/ask volume ratio are the studies that I'm having difficulties being displayed. I'm attaching a capture for review. TNX in advance for the help. |

You are using IQ Feed and you need a tick by tick data configuration to get historical bid trade volume and ask trade volume. Thank You! It worked. However, there is some data that it still missing (see attached files) in v1094 vs v1077 (which is what Im currently using) - Im sourcing market data from DTN IQFEED for ES in the continuous contract configuration and the data from the march (expired) contract is not showing. Is this an issue of SC or from the market data provider? Any suggestions? TNX in advance |

We really wonder why it is that DTN IQ feed, still at this time, has trouble with delivering tick by tick data for long periods of time during market hours. We have no trouble doing it ourselves. Refer to the information here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/DTNIQFeed.html#TickLimitMarketHours And consider using the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed : https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. So this means it is an issue from DTN? I'm actually considering switching to SC feed... Just need to put quite some time into updating all my charts, if I decide to change. Might definitely be worth it, not to say more affordable. I'm just concerned about how reliable the function for "creating" continuous contracts will work. TNX again for the help and promptness in responding. |

Yes it is a IQ Feed limitation. Refer to the section here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/DTNIQFeed.html#TickLimitMarketHours The Sierra Chart function for creating Continuous Futures Contracts in and of itself is very reliable as of the latest versions. When there is a problem, it is because of "missing data". This could either be historical daily data, if there is a need for that based upon the continuous futures contract type, or missing intraday data. The simple solution to this, is to re-download/download the data following the instructions here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_ContinuousFuturesContractCharts.html#ReDownloading Once you have the data, the feature will work consistently and accurately every time.
