Hello

I have SC linked to CQG API to place my orders.
I have a Spreadsheet System trading, that places a Buy Stop order one tick above the Close of the previous candle.

When I work in simulation everything works fine,
But when I go live,
When I send an order I get the message « Order rejected. Sell order stop price must be below last trade price » (in case of sell order)

It is probably that I send an order one tick above, but when the order is received the price has moved already.

I tried to place the orders 2 ticks above, but I still have the same problem.

Do you have anything to recommend to solve the problem ?
Maybe Spreadsheet systems are slow to execute.

Thanks for your help

You have us a bit confused. You state that you are placing "a Buy Stop order one tick above the Close". But then the rejection states that you are placing a "Sell order". So we need to better understand the situation and know if you are placing a buy or a sell above the current price.

Keep in mind a sell order above the current price would fill immediately, since the current price is better. Although it looks like CQG doesn't allow this occur.

In the end, you will need to contact your broker to find out why the particular order you are putting in is not allowed by your order routing service.

That is the problem. You are using a sell stop order instead of a buy stop order.
