Hello, I noticed my charts do not update immediately at market open 9:30am. I am only trading Nasdaq so not 24 hrs. The symbol I trading is SPY AAPL AMD FB MU DIS etc. I am using ineractive brokers datafeed. What could be the reason for the slow update initially then normal update speed after 5 or 10 minutes has gone by? Thank you |

Is your data delayed? You will see 'delayed' in the chart if so.

The data us delayed for the first 15 minutes then is normal. Is there a reason why and how can I fix this? Is it a setting I need to change in sierra charts or something else? Thank you |

I'm just a regular user so I don't know if I can help you beyond the basics. But who is your data provider? The opening can be quite heavy with data and some providers can't keep up. Or maybe your internet connection is too slow. Or your computer. Just throwing possibilities out there... There is no SC setting that would delay data intentionally for just the first 15 minutes. With SC either the data feed is delayed all the time or it's real-time all the time, depending on your data feed. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2021-06-23 04:33:40

Thank you for the response. Interactive Brokers is the provider. The laptop is an expensive gaming laptop with 16Gb ram 2Tb hard drive. The internet connection is a 500 speed business connection. And speed etc shows that the connection is between 400 to 500 download speed 20 upload speed. |

In that case I would suspect that Interactive Brokers data feed is the problem. If you watch the TWS, does it seem to have the same data lag for the first 15 minutes? |

We cannot help with the Interactive Brokers data feed. However, these are US equities symbols. If you require real-time data, then you need to subscribe to this data feed and activate the US Equities exchange: Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed: Introduction We are also going to be offering a new real-time data feed from NASDAQ which will cover all US equities, in about a month or so.
