Looking through the MBO file structure tells me clearly some spreadsheet interday or some other list is telling SC to populate these incorrect symbols. Clearly the Translate function doesn't reach into these list could you provide a a list possible locations.

The Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service should be translating all the places that the symbols are listed. But, the places to check are the File >> Quote Board, File >> Quote Spreadsheet, Chart >> Associated Watch List, and Global Settings >> Intraday File Update List. What is the message you are getting? I take it that File>>Qoute Board:: Qoute Spreadsheet are only present if you have those files stored which I do not. The Intraday file I cleared. Which leaves the Assoc Watch List is this a text file stored in the Data folder?

I went into the MBO folder and deleted all the Files with the OLD symbols. Theoretically this should not solve the issue as what ever Chart, QB, SPRDSHT etal should just re create the File But my thinking is this should narrow the search to whatever OLD symbol format gets file gets repopulated

The exact message hasn't changed except for the symbol now is ESU21.2021. I believe I posted a scn sht in the previous help request. Symbol Error - NGM21 is unknown, unavailable, or improperly formatted. Already subscribed to symbol. Yes.... But now I may have to wait for it to pop up again as it might just sat "ESU21". Point is it definitely doesn't have ".CME" attached to it.

The message shows up in Sun instance 3 but I sent the main instance because I was able to delete the MBO file of the OLD style symbols in sub instance 3. In other words WIN 7 was not telling me the file is in use by SC but it was in the MAIN instance. Secondly and I don't wish to muddy the waters but the FIX of Dis/Con nor exiting completely were successful but switching to CQG feed and waiting for the CQG app to disconnect (TWO Simultaneous Feeds) than switching back to Denali AND saying to convert all symbols to the Denali feed WORKed. Meaning I began to receive RT quotes which were frozen. This CHARTBOOK FROM SUB INSTANCE TWO DEFINITELY sent me the same error message about "ESM21-CME" Specifically chart #10 while it was down loading the Hist. for ESU21-CME.

Sub instance 3 is definitely using the incorrect futures symbol format for NG and ES. And probably other symbols as well. This is the problem. You are using multiple old format symbols. You do not need to do things like changing services. You just need to translate the symbols when the Chartbooks are open.
