Hi, is it possible to adjust the number of Bid/Ask levels showing on the DOM (shows 10 levels by default)?

Thanks

Тоже с нетерпением жду эту функцию, так как на немецких бондах глубина 20 пунктов.

This has now been implemented. The setting is Global Settings >> Chart DOM Settings >> Maximum Depth Levels Displayed.

Thanks for implementing this feature too the platform. I was wondering if you only choose to show 5 levels whether it will just tally the 5 levels chosen or if it will tally all 10 levels and give a % based on the 10 levels. Having only 5 levels shown and the tally for just 5 would be ideal. Thanks for the insight.

In the Chart DOM, the totals and percentages is currently based upon all levels of market depth that are available, and that will be changed to only include what is displayed.

This thread relates to maximum levels of DOM displayed, option for Maximum.

We wonder if that option works, and how it affects totals and percents shown, if it does work.
ALSO in relation to the new study-- Total Ask Size Depth (& bid), how that could let us total less than 10 levels.

I've tried out Total Ask/Bid Size Depth, you created in Oct 2015.
I like it. Could be much more useful, if an option to decrease the levels totaled was added.

I stated in a thread on the subject that being able to total fewer Levels (closer to the inside bid & ask) would be ideal,
as ProfileTrader also said, above.

I read elsewhere that you did not want people to display less than the standard 10 levels each side because inevitably someone would forget they set it. I think not so often, compared to the value of it..IF it could control the totalling also for Total Ask Size Depth, for example.

A way to total the inside 3 to 5 levels would be very helpful on that study. Would this Maximum levels be a way to do it?

I'm not getting a clear answer as to whether Maximum Levels even works, and HOW it works if so. You recommended it be left at default 100 (?).

What exactly do you mean by the latter part of (above):
In the Chart DOM, the totals and percentages is currently based upon all levels of market depth that are available, and that will be changed to only include what is displayed.

The documentation here has been updated to answer your questions:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_GlobalTradeSettings.html#MaxDepthLevelsDisplayed

Be sure to reload the page in your browser.

There would have to be a new setting added to control the maximum depth levels displayed throughout Sierra Chart. We will put that down on our list of things to do but we do not know when we would get to it. We would expect it to be a long time from now.

To make sure we understand, while on the subject:
THat documentation shows the Trade DOM Buy-Sell columns area, a column added for DOM.

You are saying that the moving bars on the chart graph area itself are not supported yet:
"There would have to be a new setting added to control the maximum depth levels displayed throughout Sierra Chart. We will put that down on our list of things to do but we do not know when we would get to it. We would expect it to be a long time from now."

I use the little Bars on the chart itself.
I tried resetting levels on my bars on the side of the chart, and that does not respond, as you say.
You are saying the column that you showed is the only way, now.

REASON WHY we use on Chart:
Can't allow the Width: It's very hard to allow for another column (due to 34 charts with many studies each).
I don't even keep price showing on those trade chart columns (for same reason).

But IF I did set a column as you show, and the totals are only for the shown levels,
would that likewise affect the Total Bid Size Depth study?
If so, I might try harder to fit a column beside the Buy Sell Columns.

I'd prefer a simple levels option on the Total Bid/Ask size Depth study, and you would not need to bother with making Max Levels show on Chart graph area.

Thank's for considering all this.
