Can someone please help me on how to connect Sierra Charts to Rithmic 01. Broker is Ironbeam/ Discount Trading. I downloaded a DTC Bridge patch that Discount sent me but when executed says "Port number not specified will exit".
I was told I need to use a Sierra Chart Version Pre 12/31/2020. I'm currently using version 2239. Don't know if that's the problem. Please help, Thank You

Not sure if you figured this out but if you run the DTC Bridge program directly you will get "Port number not specified will exit" error. If your Data/Trade Service is set to -> Rithmic Trading and you connect SC will auto launch the DTC Bridge and connect you.

What is the log file in the Rim folder telling you?

Example c:\sierra\rim\rithmic.log open that with a text editor and you should see an error

There is no file by that name with that extension. (rithmic.log)

Download the files from here Rithmic Bridge Files and try again... those are the files I used and everything worked fine. So remove all the files you have in your Rim folder and replace with these then try again.

Still not there. I download. Unzip it. This is what I get:



DTCBridge Application 2593KB
rim_ssl_cert_auth_params File 2KB
rim_ssl_client_prams File 2KB
rim_ssl_client_private_key File 2KB

That's it.

You have your Data/Trade Service set to -> Rithmic Trading setup, pointing to the right server? There are 2 Rithmic servers in the drop-down don't use the one that says DTC.

Well, sorry, but I can't do that at the moment because I actually defunded and suspended the account we are referring to. It was taking too long to get support and I felt that if this was going to be the case going forward, even occasionally, and considerable money would be at risk on occasion when I had a technical problem, that would be untenable. However, I did not close the account altogether in case the problem did eventually get resolved as we are trying to do here. So what I can tell you if it helps is that I set the Data/ Trade Service to "Rithmic 01". At that time it did not work.

Haha wish you would have told me that first, I wouldn't have wasted my time. ;-) This thread is marked as User Discussion and I believe SC doesn't monitor or give support to these so...
