Update 2021-05-19. The information in this thread is now considered out of date. We now have developed a very easy method for you to verify if you have a funded trading account to meet CME market data requirements, if you have an account with the futures broker AMP.

For complete information, refer to:
Removal of TT Trading Accounts from Sierra Chart Accounts for AMP Users | Post: 266490

----

Update: The below information is now considered out of date and no longer relevant.

Since the broker AMP is no longer supporting TT trading accounts assigned to the Sierra Chart TT FIX connections. And has closed all of those TT accounts on the TT system, it is necessary for us to remove them from Sierra Chart user accounts.

This is necessary to comply with CME market data policy since that trading account assignment to your Sierra Chart account, authorizes CME data at the nonprofessional fees.

This is an action in relation to what the broker AMP did. This is not a change from Sierra Chart.

We held off on this as long as is possible but we could not delay it further.

For more information, refer to:
Questions and Answers Regarding TT (Trading Technologies) and AMP

If you can no longer can connect to the Sierra Chart Order Routing Service because of this, then follow the instructions below:

Within Sierra Chart, set Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Current Selected Service to SC Data-All Services.

And then translate the symbols for your Chartbooks with this Edit menu command:
Edit Menu: Edit >> Translate Symbols To Current Service (Translate Symbols to Current Service)

This is an immediate solution you can do right now.

-----
Also be aware that we are working on our direct CME order routing which will be available soon:
Now Released: Upcoming CME Direct Routing

This is a very high priority for us to get this service out as soon as possible for AMP users.

In the meantime, you also have the option of still using the Sierra Chart Order Routing Service with a different broker. But this would only make sense if you are trading the CME markets. If you need to trade EUREX you need to stay with CQG and AMP.

The other brokers are listed at step 2 here:

We can see the above has been disruptive to many users. We had not realized that but this is not something that we can avoid. We do apologize for this nevertheless.

A lot of work went into creating the Sierra Chart Order Routing Service and it is a good service. And we know TT had some issues a few days back in February which affected AMP users.

Follow the instructions given in the first post for the time being.

And then you will need to get a CQG account from AMP to verify your trading account once a month and to do trading :

Do any of the list you gave me have lo margins like AMP?
I'm trying to stay with your Sierra Charts.

Also, According to AMP the trades were running through to them and would still go through, they just wouldn't offer any support.

You have to check with each broker regarding margins. You can still use Sierra Chart with AMP.

they just wouldn't offer any support.
We do not expect them to provide support for Sierra Chart but certainly support related to your trading account. So that would be all that you should expect from them.

Many brokers from the approved SC list have margins & commissions similar to and even less than AMP.

You can research the financials of the FCM or the IB (Introducing Broker) here.

Without researching every Broker on this list: I bet my left and right eye, that you wont find a broker with lower daytrading margin requirements than AMP. Even if you find a broker which is close to AMP, lets say double AMP requirement, then this is only limited to a small group of contracts.

Stage 5 seems to be one of the closest competitors, but only in some indices. On the other hand, AMPs margins are kinda crazy and the reason why they stoped working with TT...the risk is too high, when you have such low margins.

Anyway...did some1 actually find a broker in the list who can at least come near to AMP marginwise?

Should've bet only one eye... As mentioned Many Brokers here's one -> Discount Trading (Margins same or many less, up to 100 contracts, 20+ yrs in biz, Ironbeam FCM)

I have spoken to AMP and they have made it clear to me that they still offer support for TT. Do you still require CQG for AMP users if this is this case?

They then provided me with this information as to what changes actually have been made regarding SC.

Effective April 1, 2021 Sierra Chart Existing Users will need to begin to pay directly for the use of Sierra Chart instead of through your brokerage account. New Users we can no longer setup - you must already start today paying Sierra directly to get started.

We have discussed an alternative solution with AMP for easy verification of a trading account without having to connect to CQG to meet CME market data requirements, and we expect this is going to be implemented but we do not know the timing.

We are having a call today with AMP, for the alternative solution for automatically verifying a funded account without having to connect to CQG or any other service. This will make it much easier.

You can use your Dorman account. It can be associated with the Sierra Chart Order Routing service:
Sierra Chart / Trading Technologies Futures Order Routing Service

I opened an account at Dorman and gave my new IB the requirement to setup the futures account with TT and then afterwards add SC with the order routing service (means via TT FIX API). This would be the procedure, that worked in 2018/19 previously. Now I have just got the email:

Hello xxxxxxx,

I just found out that the TT at Dorman does not have access to EUREX. The two options would be Rithmic with access to Eurex and CME Group or TT with access to CME Group.

Xxxx Xxxxxxxx
NFA Registered Broker

For me it looks like Dorman doesn't support the EUREX any more via the TT Infrastructure. Is this true?

What alternatives are there to setup both TT and SC for the EUREX?

Thank you in advance for your support!

... and with the next one - also GAME OVER!

I tried AGN as an IB of Philip Capital: The same result as with Dorman. Both seem not to be willing to pay the monthly fee for the usage of the TT order routing & risk management engine in Frankfurt.

Seems, that Dorman, Philip Capital, Trade Pro Futures, AGN Futures and Edge Clear are all out of the game. None of them is supporting your TT order routing to the EUREX.

So who on earth is supporting the TT order routing to the EUREX, if AMP is now also excluded? Is there any broker left?

We need a verified solution for this problem, please!

In this case why not use CQG:
CQG Trading Platform Service

You can still use the Denali Exchange Data Feed with CQG for the EUREX data.

... so Stage Five and TF4L are also out, as far as they do the clearing via Dorman.

In this case why not use CQG:

CQG is not an option for me - sorry. If you are an insider and you know the industry, you know, that CQG is not routing their orders in Frankfurt. They are in London. This is a no go for ultra low latency. And as far as I know, Sierra Chart is not very happy with CQG.

With respect to the SC team i have to say, that it is very hard to find a valid broker/FCM which is supporting the new eurex setup. SC had invest a lot of time and money to build an excellent eurex data connection in terms of quality, reliability and lowest latencies. I really appreciate it - it is the reason that i want to leave my current platform and switch to SC. But after all it won't generate you any revenue, if you don't pay more attention to the broker / FCM side. You are very (very) strong at the technical side but i'm afraid less in area of partner management.

Currently i have found only one confirmed setup with Stage5 + Advantage Futures as the FCM. I hope the SC team can add some more brokers to the list.

An another concern is that TT is to be sold in the near future - nobody knows if the new owner keep the infrastructure open for a wide range of market participants.

This post is not in regards to post #17. It relates to the entire thread.

We do now have what we need from AMP, to effectively restore the same thing that was accomplished with the TT based trading account assignments to authorize the CME data. We need to do some work to get the full implementation done. We hope to have this done in about two weeks.

We do not expect this to be a problem because by then, we will have our own direct EUREX routing:

Do you have a list of brokers / FCMs, who are supporting Sierra Chart order routing via TT to the EUREX? If you cannot make a recommendation, you should at least make this transparent.

All we can say is we have an intent to do this and have it ready before the end of the year but we cannot say for sure. It is not something to wait for.

Hi, regarding post 13, are we safe to wait for the new method by which AMP and SC enable access to non-professional data fees without the monthly login to a live account, or should I go the CQG route now? Thanks
