I currently have the Standard package, what would be the benefit of adding Denali?

Denali is a Data Feed. So if you want/need Real-Time data from the CME Group or EUREX, then you would use the Denali Exchange Data Feed. Refer to the information here: Denali Exchange Data Feed For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

By having just the standard package, does that imply that I don't get real time data? And if not real time, how much of a delay is there?

what would be the benefit of adding Denali? This is a superior data feed to what you are using. We recommend using it for a month and then you can see.Looks like you are currently getting real-time data from Transact but we do recommend using the Denali Exchange Data Feed: Denali Exchange Data Feed We recommend using it in April, and the exchange fee will be free for the first month. And the data feed itself is only 10 USD a-month more. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. To be clear, if I add Denali there is a cost of $10/month, and there is an exchange fee as well? How much is the exchange fee? Also, I'm currently getting real time from TransAct and I pay them exchange fees, do you know if I switch to the Denali will I still need to pay the Transact exchange fees?

and there is an exchange fee as well?
Yes. How much is the exchange fee?
It depends on exactly what data you need. You will find the list of exchanges and their cost here: Denali Exchange Data Feed: Supported Exchanges (Exchange Fees) do you know if I switch to the Denali will I still need to pay the Transact exchange fees?
If you are still using the TransAct software, then you will need to continue to get data from TransAct for that software. If you are only using the Sierra Chart software, then you would not need to pay for the data to TransAct. In reviewing the exchange fee options, can you explain what Market Depth is? Also, does Sierra Chart offer brokerage services? If so, what are the margin requirements?

First, Sierra Chart is NOT a broker. For a definition of Market Depth, refer to the following: https://www.investopedia.com/terms/m/marketdepth.asp For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

My Sierra software is notifying me to switch data feeds. I would like Denali but it doesn't show on the drop down in Sierra. Also once I switch, do I contact Tranact to cancel their data?

Since the Denali Exchange Data Feed is from us, it is setup to work with any Trading service. Therefore, it is not controlled by the selection of the Service setting. You need to leave your Service to to TransAct WS. The actual control for receiving Sierra Chart data into your Sierra Chart program is controlled by the setting for Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds. Refer to the following: Data/Trade Service Settings: Allow Support for Sierra Chart Data Feeds (Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Common Settings >> Common Other Settings) If you want to use the Denali Exchange Data Feed, then you need to go through the Setup Instructions found here if you want data for CME Group: Denali Exchange Data Feed: *Setup Instructions: CME/CBOT/NYMEX/COMEX Exchanges* And/Or follow these instructions if you want data for the EUREX: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/DenaliExchangeDataFeed.php#SetupInstructions_EUREX Once you are setup using the Denali Exchange Data Feed, then, as long as you are only using Sierra Chart and none of the charts from TransAct (including their DOM), then you can cancel the data from TransAct. Hi, can you advise what the cheapest way of being able to use Denali Real time data feed is? I Currently have the 5- Advanced package which would meet my needs if it was real time data. It would seem 11 - Advanced + Denali feed would be the logical next step to achieve this. However, it seems like there is a requirement to pay an exchange fee too? What is the cheapest way to do this? For clarity, I simply want real time data that I can use volume by price studies with. I have a retail trading account seperate from sierra that I would trade with so no need for a broker on sierra chart. |

When you go through the instructions, it will tell you to change your package. The cost for the data feed itself is $10.00 USD, which is taken care of in the package change. Package 11 is the equivalent package that includes the Denali Exchange Data Feed Fee to package 5. Then, as you have stated, you need to pay for the Exchange Fees. In order to qualify for the much lower-priced Non-Professional exchange fees, you will need to have a trading account to which you can connect your Sierra Chart software. Refer to the information here: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Understanding and Accessing Data From the CME, CBOT, NYMEX, COMEX Exchanges If you only want to connect once a month, then refer to the following as well: Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Connecting Only Once a Month to Trading Account to Support CME Group Exchange Fees If you do not have a futures trading account that can be connected to your Sierra Chart, then we recommend this solution: Easy Solution to CME Funded Trading Account Requirement Finally, you will find the pricing for the exchanges here: Denali Exchange Data Feed: Supported Exchanges (Exchange Fees) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Sorry, we did not realize that. It is not something we can stop, as this is a public board, and we have it that way in order for all customers to be able to learn from the questions that others have asked. But, we do not want people taking over a thread that may not be the exact same issue. We try to point this out when we notice it, but we have been very busy lately and it has been hard to keep track of the posters. We have answered your last question above, please let us know if there is another item you need answered. To the poster, simply unsubscibe from the thread. John, thanks for the info. For the 3rd link it still seems like you need to set up a futures trading account so I don't understand the difference? Also for the fees, would there also be fees associated with setting up a trading account? I've had a look through a few potential accounts and they seem to need a fairly high minimum trading balance. This just seems like such a minefield and massively frustrating given all that I essentially need is what I've got already but 10 minutes earlier. |

Refer to:Is Historical and Real-time Futures Data Included?: Do Not Complain! / Zero Tolerance Policy You really need to set up a trading account with one of the supported trading services: Is Historical and Real-time Futures Data Included?: Available CME Exchanges When Using a Supported Trading Service You can open account with AMP, for 100 USD.
