We know why this happens, and we are checking on this. Also, if you update to the latest Sierra Chart version and use the symbol TICK-NYSE this problem will not occur. A quick solution that also should work is to select File >> Disconnect and then File >> Connect to Data Feed to go to a different server.

What is meant by "erratic" in your particular case? As long as you see the TICK-NYSE symbol update every second, then there is no problem. Not updating every second is exactly what I would call erratic and a problem. |

OK, it should be good now. This problem originates from a particular data center . The data center has been working hard to isolate it but it is an exceptionally hard problem to resolve. At this point, we probably are just not going to use the data center any longer. It is taking too much of our time to try to track this down and it is affecting users. Please let us know if the problem is resolved. We have closed connections to that data center and switched users over to another server. There is no data for NYSE_Tick this morning. I tried reconnecting several times and it remains dead. |

Based on responses from "Engineering" I am seeing that Sierra Charts does not monitor this support board in the morning. Tough luck I guess when customers have data issues early in the session.

to SC: I have upgraded from 1077 to 1091 today, because my $Tick was missing (I changed to symbol TICK-NYSE). I use OEC data. SC provides Tick data I believe (in my case they did when using ver1077) Now my log shows FIX/Fast connection and a error line where OEC does not recognize symbol TICK-NYSE. So am I reverted to OEC symbols only, or does SC still provide me with TICK symbol data as you have for past few months?? What should I do to get this symbol? Regards |

The problem is you also need to update Sierra Chart by selecting Help >> Download Current Version. The replacement symbols can be found here: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/SCMarketStatistics.php These are what you need to use: TICK-NYSE NISS-NYSE Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. This is not the proper procedure. If you are using OEC, then when OEC is the selected service in Sierra Chart, you need to update the Symbol Settings as explained here: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_GlobalSymbolSettings.php#UpdateSettings You will need to update the settings for OEC and only OEC. Not these other services. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Try to keep your questions brief and to the point.
