Hi Support I use Sierra Charts ( SC Datafeed and Interactive Brokers) and Multicharts with Tradestation Datafeed and Interactive Brokers. Im trying to decide if I should continue with my Sierra Charts Real time Datafeed or swap to Barchart. Advantage of using Barchart DF is 1. I could feed both Sierra Charts and Multicharts with the same feed? Im not sure if I could use Barchart DF to concurrently feed both Sierra Charts AND Multicharts at the same time, for the same cost ( ie 1 barchart DF subscription). Anyone know? This is the MAIN consideration. I.E to just use one datafeed instead of SC Realtime DF AND Tradestation DF OR I.B DF. 2. Barchart has a realtime U.S Stocks feed also, but then I can get that data from Interactive brokers DF or Tradestation, just not as high quality I assume. Disadvantage of using Barchart DF 1. Is it as high Quality/robust as Sierra Charts DF? ( I believe that SC Real time DF is derived from Barchart DF. Is this true?) 2. I would need to run a separate copy of Sierra as a Datafeed Client to barchart? 3.Any other consideration? I have some automated trading Systems written in Multicharts which I Love and am in the process of porting to Sierra. Im experimenting with SC Spreadsheets first and then Coding ACSIL if required. I dont use tick data in these systems so I dont believe the DF would impact the results. Also, I know you probably would have done it if you were going to but...... IMO Tradestation Datafeed is actually pretty good. Even at a tick level its not bad at all. I have run Volume profile studies in Multicharts using Tradestation data versus Barchart Data and dont find a lot of difference looking a volume traded at various price levels, cumulative data charts etc. Any chance that you would integrate SC with a Tradestation DF in the future? |

The best way for us to answer this is as follows: 1. Only one connection at a time as possible per Barchart account. 2 connections are not allowed. 2. By June of this year, we will no longer be providing direct support for Barchart. 3. Within two months, we will be offering US and Canadian real-time stock data. 4. It is true, that many of the data feeds that Sierra Chart offers are derived from the Barchart feed with the exception of CME. However, we have a very high quality and low latency connection to the Barchart data feeds. There are no plans to support the Tradestation data feed as it is not consistent with our current business plans. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Ok thanks. I will continue to use Sierra with your Real time DF as long as it is continues to offer great quality at a reasonable cost. Any plans for a ASX SPI Data Feed and/or ASX Stocks in the future? |

We are going to be adding in other exchanges, but we checked the list and ASX is not part of them.
