hello i deleted sierra charts and wanted to reinstall . now the chart downloader doesn t start . it loads up for 1 second and then it closes |

I had the same problem srohack. Here's the hack I figured out that worked for me. Over the last couple of years I had saved several older copies of SierraChartFileDownloader.exe and decided to try them one at a time. I found that "Installer version: 6" will load and install a new SC update as long as I tell it the Specific Version I want to upgrade to. Please find Installer version: 6 dated 7/7/2017 attached. All the other newer versions would not work for me. |

That really does not make sense. You should have no trouble at all with the current Sierra Chart installer/file downloader. It does work properly on Windows 10. Whether it makes sense or not newer versions of the installer/file downloader will not run on my Windows 10 machine. If it were a security software issue on my machine then I would think the older version would not run either. Besides that I turned off all security and whitelisted the file! Just stating the facts of what works and what doesn't work but I'm keeping my copy of the v6 downloader to do upgrades because it's the only one that works for me. |

Not sure why you have a problem. We tested the Sierra Chart installer on Windows 10 earlier today.
