[Locked] - Losing connection to Interactive Brokers TWS.

Hello,

Thank you for being meticulous with your software.

Older versions work.


This is NOT a support request but a request to fix a bug in the interface. I understand the ib api's poorly designed in some aspects.


It seems that in last several versions interface with tws is broken. It keeps on connecting and disconnecting.


It seems this is the same issue that has occurred previously a few time and d you fixed it.

There is definitely not a problem on the Sierra Chart side. The interface to Trader Workstation is fine. It has not changed.

We definitively cannot help with this. These are TWS issues. You need to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed for US equities market data and not use Interactive Brokers. Refer to the documentation here and for complete instructions:

If is puzzling if interface is the same.
Ver 2120 works much better. The latest version is not usable.

Look, if you want to continue with that belief system, then leave Sierra Chart. Do not blame Interactive Brokers problems on us. We have had enough of this garbage. This thread is locked and do not post here again about this.

We should have immediately declined support but we were being accommodating, only to have their damn problems dumped on us.

Enough of the garbage. You are only proving us overwhelmingly right.


We are not here to use our high experience and knowledge, to explain all of this absurdity that you are dealing with with Interactive Brokers.
