I wrote to you a few weeks ago saying that if I entered orders too quickly on the DOM and I exceeded my limit size I that it was causing the entire SC program to freeze so that NO PART or window or anything was active. You told me that was impossible. Yea right, because it just happened again, whilst I had a position and I had to quickly start up Globex Direct to get out of the trade and of course lost money. I AM NOT VERY HAPPY RIGHT NOW I took a photo of the white box that popped up when I tried entering orders and the entire system froze. After I flattened in Globex and shut that down, I had to force the computer to close to restart and get SC to close. Why is this happening, and DONT tell it can't because it does and it has. You need to look into this. This is NOT RIGHT. If this photo isnt attached, then I have emailed Ray with a copy. Or email me and I will send it. Its says 'caught in an unhandled exception...' |

There is an exception occurring. We did not know that previously since that is a condition which never occurs under these kinds of circumstances which you describe. Once that happens Sierra Chart will be in an unstable state leading to the problem. You will just need to close Sierra Chart. If you cannot do that normally, you can terminate it through the Task Manager. You do not need to restart your computer. From what we know the problem occurs when you are modifying the quantity of an order and relates to a Microsoft dialog window for changing the order quantity. We want you to update to the current version of Sierra Chart following the instructions here: Software Download: Fast Update The problem you are experiencing is explained here: Notice: Stack Overflow Issue | Post: 227366 After updating, let us know if you still have the problem. We can see you are now running 2135. We cannot see exactly what is causing that error from the screenshot. But it does not look as though it is of concern.

We have also set you up with access to the web-based trading panel: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartOrderRoutingServiceWithData.php#WebBasedTradingPanel You can manage your orders from there. You should only use your direct CME interface when needed to avoid Position reporting inconsistencies. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
