Dear SC, I am a user of Sierra routing service. It it much better service than rithmic. When I placed a bracket order, and it was filled then, as soon as my internet disconnected, my server side target and stop order just gone at the same time, this happened several times when I have internet connections issues, how do I fix this up please? Are those server side target and stop orders still in action even durring the internet cut off period? Thank you SC. |

Are those server side target and stop orders still in action even durring the internet cut off period? Yes definitely. And you really are not technically describing exactly what is happening. What you are literally saying definitely cannot be true. If you lose the connection to the trading server and then there is a reconnection to a different server, then since the server-side bracket order was submitted to a different server, then you would not see the child orders if the parent had not yet filled. You would only see the parent order. But those orders are still actually working. We have documentation about this but we want to review it and update it. In this scenario you are experiencing you would want to just simply reconnect to the data feed to get back to the primary server: File Menu: Procedure to Reconnect to the Data and Trade Servers Can you also tell us what is the Primary Server you are using? Dear user, I am experiencing the same thing. Everytime I logged off from SC, the attached stop and target order disappeared leaving only the runner. I have tried to reconnect to the same primary server (server 2 in my case) but the same issue just happened again. May I know if you have resolved the issue? Dear SC, Could you advise? I know you don't believe that but it is really a very straightforward issue description. I entered a trade with attached stop and target orders. Whenever I logged off, the attached orders disappeared. I literally have to keep SC and my computer running the whole day if I want to keep a runner... |

No this is definitely not true: I literally have to keep SC and my computer running the whole day if I want to keep a runner...
Here is the the technical explanation for what you are seeing: Attached Orders: Reconnected to Different Server (Child Orders Disappear) I have tried to reconnect to the same primary server (server 2 in my case) but the same issue just happened again. You need to be aware of what server the Bracket order was originally submitted to. It may not have been the Primary server. You can quickly switch among the servers through the web-based trading panel and find which one it is working on:https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartOrderRoutingServiceWithData.php#WebBasedTradingPanel This architecture will not change until we offer our own direct CME order routing which is probably not going to be available until the first quarter of next year. hopefully you will get this fixed soon. There is nothing to fix. There just needs to be an understanding of how this works:Attached Orders: Reconnected to Different Server (Child Orders Disappear) We can also do a video to demonstrate this. ^Could you add an alert/trade service log message clarifying the user is connected to backup server and the specific orders that remain working on the other server?
