When I draw multiple lines close together and go to select them, it selects several lines at a time. Is there a way to choose which one is selected instead of having to move all of the others to get to the one I want?

If it is selecting multiple drawings that are close together, then you should be getting numbers in each drawing letting you select the specific drawing that you want. I tried this. When I click the lines and the numbers 0 and 1 come up, I hit 0 or 1. Nothing happens though? I go to right click then to alter the line properties and it doesn't select the line I want.

When the 0 and 1 come up, then you need to select the number and then Enter. Then whatever functionality you were trying to access will be applied to the selected line. For example, if you selected Move, and then get the numbers and select 0 then Enter, then the line that had the 0's will be in Move mode. This is all explained in the link given above. So lets say I have two lines that are on top of each other. I select that area and get 0 and 1. What I want to do next is bring up the properties window for said line... if I hit 1 and enter it moves the line to where my arrow is now sitting. I do not want to move it I just want to get the properties dialog box. Is there a way to do that, that I am missing? Thanks, Doug |

The system thinks you are in a Modify mode, which is why it is moving the line. When you just right-click to try and select a line for "Drawing Properties", it is going to just select one. The way to do what you are wanting is to set the setting for Global Settings >> Tool Settings >> Double Click on Drawing Brings Up Drawing Properties to Yes. Then, when you double left-click and there is more than one possible drawing selection, you will get the numbering options. Refer to the following: Chart Drawing Tools: Double Click On Drawing Brings Up Drawing Properties (Global Settings >> Tool Settings >> General >> Tool Options) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
