I wanted to copy one chart in my chart book and I chose "Duplicate Chart to Chart Book." It duplicated all the charts in that chart book. I did this on several charts until I realized it was duplicating all charts, over and over. Now I cannot tell which charts to eliminate to clean up my chart book. I only want the latest of each chart. Now I am clicking "Duplicate Chart" only, which works to duplicate the one chart.

You would just need to look at either the CW menu or the Window >> Windows and Chartbooks and determine the actual Chart Numbers of the charts that you do not want and then close them one by one. Refer to the following:

I would like to delete or close copies/duplicate of charts from different chartbooks. I followed above instruction. It did not work. For example I do have several copies chart number #15. Al the copies have same chart number. If I delete one it will delete all the copies. I could not figure it out how to close a chart. Strange. I need one chart to keep and like to delete only copies. Please let me know how can I delete only duplicates. Thanks

This cannot possibly be true:
. Al the copies have same chart number.

We really do not know what the situation you have is.

Are there charts that are set to be visible across Chartbooks?

Situation is I do use multiple chart book for different time frame charts. For example I have chart number #15 and 18 in Chartbook 1 . it shows the same chart with same chart number in Chartbook #2. I would like to delete those two charts from chart book two. If I delete from there, It also delete or close my chartbook1 as well. I like to keep chart 15 and 18 in chart book1. If you need further information please let me know.

Deleting charts #15 and #18 in Chartbook2 will not delete them in Chartbook1.

The charts do not work like drawings. When you duplicate a chart, it is now its own chart - it does not have any tie to the chart that it was duplicated from.

By the way when ever I open a new chart book these two charts automatically shows up. I do not want those charts up in new chart book. Is there any way I can change setting. Thanks

This is not possible.

If you select "File >> New Chartbook" there should not be any charts at all in that chartbook. It should be a blank chartbook.

If I open a new chart book without an another chart book open, You are right. But if I open the said chart book it will automatically show three charts from this specific CB. We are discussing this with you guys for couple of days. What is the solution. I do not want to delete everything then start again. By the if I want to save a specific chart in my system as Sierra file. What is the best way create .cht file. Thanks

If you have a chartbook open and you select "File >> New Chartbook", but you are still seeing the charts from the other chartbook, then that is because those other charts are set to have the option for "Window >> Window Always Visible" enabled. This allows a chart from another chartbook to still display even though the other chartbook is selected. Refer to the following:
Window, CB and CW Menus: Window Always Visible (Window)

Use the "File >> Save As" option to save a chartbook to a specific name.
