moving average study resizing the chart

I'm using automatic scale range. If I add a moving average that is calculated over a fairly large time frame it may sometimes shift or resize the chart to fit the moving average onto the chart. Is there a way to prevent this? Just have the chart scale only according to the bar data but still show the study on the chart page?
