Hi SierrEng I found a bug into the 1958 and 1959 that I moved to, since it is the release that let me connect using the new websocket to Transact/infinity. Well everything works fine apart when I go to Global settings>Trade Settings in that case the platform stop working and it's not letting me do anything also to close Sierrachart I have to use CTRL+alt+Del command. This is not happening with 1941 version and it never happened in the past, please have a look to this issue since it is a severe issue.I have a stable and update windows 7 OS.I can't send you the log because the freezing did not let me copy the log. Thx |

This is nothing but a Microsoft operating system issue due to their trash. Refer to: High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often: 30.40 - Dialog Windows Do Not Display Once we discard this Microsoft dialog trash, then it will be definitively resolved. This should be completed by January 2020. Also, other users are not going to have this problem. If you follow through the information we give in the link above, you should be able to resolve it. Also for the record this is not specific to any particular version. You can have this problem with any version. We do hear about it occasionally but in general it is not a problem. It just happens to be coincidence you noticed it with the versions mentioned and not the earlier ones. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. In the next version, when opening Global Settings >> General Trade Settings, we will force the display of that dialog window but that will cause it to be positioned at the top left of your desktop rather than being centered. Now whether this helps or not we do not know but there is probably a good chance it will. Another thing we thought of is close all of your Chartbooks and then try open that settings window. We have released version 1960 and we want to know if it resolves the problem for you. If so, then this will be a temporary patch.

SierraEng I got another big issue, so I post as hide post but please take a deep look of what i sgoing on with MSFT DLL wiht the newer version, the only stable solution for Transact users is 1941 all the other have different issue coming out. The last one is that if you open another chartobook the active one disapper and then the machine crashed. Thx Alberto Date Time Of Last Edit: 2019-07-29 19:00:29

In regards to this, maybe it is a problem with a custom study. Refer to help topic 17: Sierra Chart Unexpectedly Shutting Down | Memory Errors | Unusual Software Problems | Exception Errors | Freezing of User Interface And if you are literally having your computer system "crashed", that is going to be a system issue. Not with Sierra Chart. But make sure you are not using the OpenGL option. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. I just read this post from You Managing Performance with Version 1959 and Higher and the Chart Update Interval and I think my issue is more related to this because: 1) I never try to use Open GL 2) With 1941 everything works fine, I never had freeze of any kind since years so it is not a OS issue But since I'm on Transact I prefer to stay the entire week with 1941 then in the weekend I will try to make tests on ms intervals to see if with larger interval the issue will be solved or not. thx |

Ok, but the way you describe it, it sounds like there is something abnormally happening to your entire system.
